Yes and I think K.Will's songs are usually the songs that Koreans like, just like Some.

Jung Sae Woon is still lacking in many aspects, but I can tell that he has great potential.  Coincidentally, Jung Sae Woon shares the same fate as Hyolyn, as he has been rejected and criticized by JYP on KPOP STAR many times.  

 

But all of that doesn't matter anymore!  He is now signed under Starship :D  

 

Adding him to the Starship family was such a good decision on their part.  Most importantly, many girls love him in South Korea (or so I've heard).  If it's true, then I can see why Starship had to take him in.  I'm looking forward to his official debut!

Oh this looks intense. And it is good exposure for starship ent as a whole. A lot of people will tune in for JYP acts (since he/the company is more known but will get to experience the talent from Starship artists). 

 

Looking at it now, i am glad that they did not put Sistar on that show. I am sure if they wanted they could work their schedule around it, but Sistar can be overexposed musically sometimes and people expect sexy from them a lot in terms of style/concept of music. By sending these guys, people will see that Starship is so much more. 

 

Also, the other guy from Starship (besides K.Will, JGG and MadC) is said to be a rookie. So i am thinking he is a Starship rookie.

This will definitely be a good chance to promote other Starship artists.  I'm also a big JYP Entertainment fan, so that's another plus for me.  From what I can see, Yeeun and K.Will will be the leading representatives for their respective group and company on this show.

Maybe.  Girl groups with pure and innocent concepts has been done before, but they need to do something that will set them apart from SISTAR.  

 

Well, considering Starship is flocked with good artists and talents, I'm kinda expecting that.

And about the musical direction or concept, I'd like to have something like Davichi except with quite large number of members that can also sing (aka Spica).

 

Or something like in between APink and f(x) since we already have Sistar that showcases themselves as a sexy group with talents (aka Spica again :D). We need a variety in Starship too although that's proven since Starship has already variety of talents but an addition wouldn't hurt at all. Plus, there's already tons of sexy groups already and I'd like Starship to prove to us that they can produce another group that's different from Sistar is doing.

Oh, a vocal group like Davichi would definitely be a good idea.  

 

A group that combines elements from both APink and f(x) would also sound nice, but I feel like Red Velvet has already taken that idea.  And... *cough*

 

 

 

Red Velvet's "Happiness" has become a guilty pleasure of mine.  

 

 

 

Now putting that aside lol I was thinking of a group that takes on a BoA like concept.  In other words, I want to see a pop style dance group with powerful vocals.  And by powerful, I mean vocals that can communicate with listeners on an emotional level.

Oh boy, all this talk about their new girl group... I really want to see what Starship is planning to do with their current line of trainees.  Could we be expect them to announce something soon?

Yep, but not necessarily a vocal group. Just something with group members who has like a Hyorin and Soyou's in a group (ala Davichi) and plus, they can dance and rap well - although it will also be a fresh thing for Starship if they could form a girl group that has no rapping lines in their songs that much. More like rap lines in their songs in just occasional level.

 

Red Velvet for me is more like f(x)-esque since their debut track sounds more like that. But we'll see in the future.

Anyway, Starship can do different from that, I think. It doesn't necessarily have to be same with APink nor f(x). :D

 

 

And I must admit I'm starting to like the song too.

 

 

And about that BoA part, yes yeeees! A pop group that can dance and sing and communicate with the audience will totally slay!

With that case, I think they need meaningful and public-friendly songs that the people can relate to, just like the elements of Some has.

I agree with your sentiments toward rapping.  Not hating on rappers, but I think its time to break away from the "vocalists and rapper" formula.  It's been way overused tbh.  Sometimes I feel like the companies are putting rappers in groups just for the sake of having one.

And I know right?  I've always hoped that one of the big 3 would come out with a BoA like girl group, but it never happened.  I guess I was way over my head with that idea

A lot of times, a person in a group is a rapper, because that person can't sing or sings poorly.

There are also times when the rapper adds very little to their respective group too.  But that's besides the point.  I just felt that companies should step away from this "vocalist and rapper" trend because it has become way too common in the K-Pop music scene.

I hope we could see a girl group from Starship that doesn't have rappings in each and every of their songs.

And it would also be cool if Starship should give Sistar a song that has no rap lines at all. Bora can at least try to sing a line or two just like Miss A and Secret who let their rappers sang in one of their songs.

 

 

That is why it's a breathe of fresh air for me when Infinite came back with Back with no rap lines at all.

 

 

And yes, RV is like that but I like it. They're like younger sisters of them although some members of RV are older than Sulli and Krystal. :D

It seems K.Will is ready to come out with another hit later this fall.

 

On September 13th, K.Will appeared as guest in Fly To The Sky's encore performance at Kyunghee University's Peace Hall in which he announced,"The new song will be coming out in the fall".

 

He also said,"The song will fit with the chilly weather of the season so please look forward to it".

 

K.Will also talked about his relationship with Fly To The Sky,"I have a close relationship with Fly To The Sky. Before my debut I had recorded a lot of guide tracks for them. If you look at their albums, you can see my name mentiond in the chorus of songs like 'Gravity' and 'Missing You'".

SISTAR's Hyorin was asked about her preference for a 'We Got Married' husband for groupmate Soyu!

 

"I just want her to meet someone strong," Hyorin said during a joint interview on 'Section TV'. "Rather than seeing what Soyu is usually like, I think it would be better if we could see her personality that she doesn't normally show."

Starship's New GG:

• Possible group names: Going by the way they name their idol groups, I'd say they would go with something like Girlfriend, Pretty Girlz, Puretty Gurlz, etc.  Now if we go by the general K-Pop standard, then we might see names like Choco Banana, Peach Ice Cream, tmB2G (aka The Most Beautiful Girls of the Generation), GWCS (aka Girls Who Can Sing), YPG (aka Yeppeo Girls), etc.  Bad names, yes.  But I wasn't trying to be serious with them lol. 
  
• Possible number of members: 4-7
  
• Concept: They will most likely debut as a Pure / Cute / Pop Dance Group.
  
• Give an example of a song to debut (MV): I would like them to sing an inspirational song for the young generation.  Can't think of an example at the moment.

But DSP had a girl group named Puretty. They just didn't officially debut and I heard they disbanded right before the debut happened. Now for Girlfriend's name, I kinda thought of it too but at the same time I found it kinda lame?

Yea, they disbanded.  Some of the former members were actually in the KARA project.

 

Now about the size... I'm not too fond of big groups.  The maximum I can handle is 7 lol.  Maybe a 5 member group would be better?  How many female Starship trainees have we seen so far btw?

 

As for the concept... Hmmm I don't know.  I was just throwing out things, just for the sake of answering the question.  But I do want to see a Pop dance group.  Or maybe something like E-Girls and their Flower subunit:

Hmm, so far I only saw three of them. And 7 is already big enough in numbers.

 

I haven't checked out those, but are they different from AKB48? I mean their whole concept or their main concept.

I haven't been into JPop for a while now and usually I only check rock bands and soloists from them.

I'm not really fond of JPop girl grous.

Hard for me to say since I don't really follow AKB48...  Nor am I up to date on J-Pop music.  I only listen to Misia and other classic Japanese artists; Note: Misia is the best female singer in all of Asia.
