I think it's a bit unfair to compare SJ dancers' (HyukDong) vocal performance with SJ vocalists' (YeKyu). Props to them to have made a good job with their own vocals given their singing limitations. Hyuk and Shindong were always considered the 2 worst singers in SJ, they actually broke a taboo with this performance (as well as all other members in Treasure Island Concert). Hyuk managed to climb my vocal list after this performance and a few others, like 'With You', for exemple.

I've always thought a Sungmin and Ryeowook duet would never work out given their high pinched voices, but Sungmin managed to sing in a much lower tone to make the performance flow well. And both did a pretty good job. The song is good so it helped for me.

I'm torn in between these 2 performances. I don't know which one I liked better.

I guess I just don't really care for the song. It doesn't really have a duet-ish feeling for me.

I think so too. It was Yesung's solo song, so that's maybe why, right?

Well yeah. I appreciate the gesture but I'm still holding on for that proper kyuwook duet. Based on the Treasure Island performance they totally should go for the r&b sound.

A KRYS battle. This is too hard.

 

Well not, actually, becuase I already confessed how much I love Minwook singing Story :hurr:

 

Yesung and Kyuhyun together comes out a little flat for some reason. I like it when they mix the sweeter voices with the lower ones. There's a moment in "What If" live where Kyuhyun and Sungmin harmonize that is just perfect. Wookie can harmonize with anybody.

Forever crying at Wook forgetting the lyrics... they sound so damn well in that style.

So true. Wook is THE master - he can harmonize perfectly with anyone from any group. Even in SJ's group ballad performances you can notice his voice bringing all the voices together beautifully like a glue.

shindong/eunhyuk really slays all tbh. they're fucking rappers but they really improve like A LOT! I really like Shindong's voice. His technique may be not that skilled enough but he definitely CAN SING!!!

I'm glad people notice it. He's also very quick to adjust when the others go a little off. I hope they let him sing lower more. I sometimes feel like he's stuck doing the high notes while he's voice can be so rich when going lower. Maybe we should have a Wook appriciation thread sometime.
