Screen Actors Guild bosses are considering taking back the Life Achievement Award they gave to Morgan Freeman in January in the wake of sexual harassment allegations against him.

Eight women have accused the movie star of harassment or sexual misconduct as part of a new CNN expose, prompting Morgan to apologize for this actions and insist he never meant to “intentionally†offend anyone or make them feel uncomfortable.

But his behaviour may have cost him one of his biggest accolades.

A representative for SAG said â€œThese are compelling and devastating allegations which are absolutely contrary to all the steps that we are taking to ensure a safe work environment for the professionals in this industry.â€

The rep goes on to confirm Guild officials are reviewing what “corrective actions†might be appropriate.

Meanwhile, bosses at credit card company Visa have ended their long relationship with the actor over the scandal.

A spokesman for the company says, “We are aware of the allegations that have been made against Mr. Freeman. At this point, Visa will be suspending our marketing, in which the actor is featured.â€

VISA is understandable. But is it some requirement to have a good personality to win the Life Achivement Award? I mean him sexually harassing women doesn't really take his achievements away. Same for sports awards, nobel prizes, etc. They just don't like how it looks bad on their rep, that they chose a sexual harasser for a winner and are now regretting it.
