'Baby KARA' awe 1,000 fans at their first ever showcase

 

'Baby KARA' held their first official showcase!

 

The 7 KARA-hopefuls collected 200 of their friends and family, but 800 fans came by themselves to see how the girls did. The 7 girls got to perform to a total of 1,000 fans for the showcase. The showcase was put on by the girls as their 5th mission testing their ability to handle a large concert arena and to attract fans.

 

The girls started the showcase off with "Lupin". Each of the 7 girls also had their own solo stages. The girls had also promised certain things if they reached 1000 audience members, including a sexy wave, a serenade, and a couple dance with fans.

Baby Kara Gathers 2,000 Fans for Street Performance in Japan

The Baby Kara members have already realized their popularity in Japan.

 

June 17’s broadcast of Kara Project will feature the Baby Kara members’ street performance in Japan.

 

The street performance took place on May 31 in front of a large shopping mall called Tama Plaza in Yokohama and the place has previously housed performances of various K-pop idol groups.

 

Having held only three performance in Korea so far, the Baby Kara members’ challenge to hold a street performance in Japan seemed rather ambitious.

 

However, despite the concerts, their performance gathered over 2,000 fans to Tama Plaza, with some of them holding signs that showed support for Baby Kara.

 

A staff member who was present at the site said, “Japan’s interest in Baby Kara was proven with the number of people who gathered that day. We had a concern that only a few people would gather since the place of performance was located in the outskirts, but we didn’t need to worry. The Baby Kara members were also excited that they were able to put more energy into their performance.â€

I was wondering something about YoungJi. Did she have fans before the Kara project was announced? Because she got popular so quickly, especially for someone who didn't do the first 2 challenges. 

 

she was a CCM and KeyEast(?) trainee before. so, like any other trainee, some of them already have their own followers.

 

another thing is, although she didn't get to perform on the 1st & 2nd episode, most people already watch the fancams of her performance (with baby KARA) at Tama Plaza in Japan - Go Go Summer mission (31st May) before the first voting result closed on the 2nd/3rd June. that would explain why she got so many fan votes despite didn't perform on the first 2 episodes. plus, she's the most popular member according to J-fans.

If Youngji and Sojin get chosen, expect a group with Somin as leader (2nd eldest of the 5 left, same age as eldest Chaekyoung)

 

well, she actually the 3rd oldest/youngest from the group of 5.

although the 3 of them (Shiyoon, Chaekyung, Somin) are all 96-liner.

but Shiyoon is the eldest among them (feb, 21), Chaekyung (july, 7) and Somin (august, 22).

 

anyway, i would like her to be the leader of a new group too~

leader + main/lead vocal + "face" of the group

is it too much? :hurr:

#teamsomin all the way though, hope she makes it.

I'm sorry for being selfish but I also want the best for KARA, which is (Somin) from this batch of candidates.

oh please let it be 3 new members..

i can't choose between the 3 of them (Somin-Youngji-Sojin) ;;;

 

but if i have to choose 2 members, i'm leaning towards Somin-Sojin

Regarding the global votes, I think that Somin can give her competition in that area.

I mean, she's gotten a lot more fans globally after the episodes went by, youngji kinda got stagnant in that area.

 

For me 100% I would want Somin, as for the other 2 I wouldn't really mind either of Sojin or Youngji.

I have a soft spot for Chaewon, she's adorable.

But I feel that she's kinda too young right now, I'm sure she'll have a bright future ahead!

 

if i'm not mistaken, for the final week, only the votes from LINE account will be counted (correct me if i'm wrong).

(since it is global vote, so only international fans can vote? or koreans should use LINE to vote too? idk)

 

anyway, since week 1 to week 4, Youngji has constantly get 100% full global vote score.

so i must say, she's reaaaaaally a strong contender.

but never underestimate the power of Somin & Sojin fans.

anything can happen at the final.

 

please don't forget to vote for your favourite baby.

every vote counts!

thanks for posting the instructions on how to vote. what time does this start in KST? 

 

the show starts? or the live voting starts?

 

The final episode of KARA project (July, 1st) starts at 6pm KST.

and the live voting starts on July 1st, from 6.10pm KST - 6.45pm KST.

 

but i'm not sure if we can start voting now or should wait until the final day.

because it said, for the overall final vote scores, they will total up the score from week 1 to week 5 AND 6th episode live vote score.

so, does that mean in week 6, only the live vote score will be counted? :._.:
