I was wondering something about YoungJi. Did she have fans before the Kara project was announced? Because she got popular so quickly, especially for someone who didn't do the first 2 challenges.

she was a CCM and KeyEast(?) trainee before. so, like any other trainee, some of them already have their own followers.

 

another thing is, although she didn't get to perform on the 1st & 2nd episode, most people already watch the fancams of her performance (with baby KARA) at Tama Plaza in Japan - Go Go Summer mission (31st May) before the first voting result closed on the 2nd/3rd June. that would explain why she got so many fan votes despite didn't perform on the first 2 episodes. plus, she's the most popular member according to J-fans.

Am I the only one who thinks KARA should make the final decision? It doesn't matter who in the f*ck is the most popular - what matters is how they will contribute and work within KARA. I don't think DSP really has the right to be adding members and then telling the girls who will coming in, without their opinions.

Do you really think Gyuri, Seungyeon, and Hara are that naive. I'm pretty sure once they knew Jiyoung was going to leave, the girls and DSP had a discussion and analyzed on how the group should continue. I hate to say this cause it's gonna take away a little of the drama out of the show, but I think DSP along with the girls have already decided on which trainee/s are best for the group. Don't forget that these shows are edited for drama/entertainment. They want viewers to get attached and have reactions, it's showbiz.

Hmmm i just finished watching...

 

I agree with the users who criticized youngji. Like i said last time, her dancing is weak and she show her frustration very easily as well. She needs a tougher skin and better attitude,

 

BUT... i understand her popularity more then i did before after watching this ep. Its more then just being pretty. She has this thing that makes people want to root for her. I think she is the one people connect with the most on a human level. She isn't confident like say somin, she's not super cheerful like the younger ones, nor does she flaunt her beauty like say chaekyung and she is not strong like sojin. She is basically the awkward pretty girl tryn to find her place after being in 3 companies already. And i think Koreans understand her because of this.

 

 

I think the stress of having been into 3 companies gets to her. The stress of her thinking its her last chance. So she's always stress 24\7. Her mindset isn't the same as the other girls except sojin. She and sojin are thinking of this as their last chance.  The others are young and can wait another few years. Sojin manages her stress better because she is older and the leader. Younji i think seems lost sometimes.

 

I think if she had a closer friend in the grp  she would be better at managing herself. She is obviously not that close to the others so she doesn't have someone that can ground her the way somin+chaekyung are there for each other. I mean none of them seems that close aside from these 2 anyway. The others get along well ,but they aren't very close. Shi yoon fades into the background, the other young ones are just exited to be part of the show. And sojin is more like  mother-sister then  a friend.

 

With that said. I think its pretty obvious Youngji will be the one in Kara. Now for the second spot it will be a battle between somin vs sojin. I personally would choose somin jusgt because she is better overall. I would even give a extra spot to chaekyung because japan like her and kara biggest market these days is japan. lol.

Somin is the leader of Baby Kara. She starts the "Hwaiting", and, more definitely, when there is call for an encore, manager calls Somin over and tells her what the group should do. (Could be that she was the closest one but usually you call the leader over for things like this.)

 

If Youngji and Sojin get chosen, expect a group with Somin as leader (2nd eldest of the 5 left, same age as eldest Chaekyoung)

 

 

Little things that makes me Somin-bias...

 

in Diary 4-2, right before the group searches for "Chaekyoung", Chaekyoung says "It'll be humiliating if there is nothing"... and there is nothing...

 

Somin checks Chaekyoung to see if she's ok.

 

 

 

Extra: Sojin was really disturbed at how much she cried in ep. 1.... EDIT: err ep2

Watching the epis, I'm starting to like Chaekyoung

I especially enjoyed watching her during their performances

She's really brings energy and seems to be enjoying herself....a huge plus 

 

I know YoungJi is really popular in Korea and Japan but.....

If they're really choosing 2 people, i hope it'll be Somin & Sojin/Chaekyoung

 

The two youngest are very cute too but i think they're too young to join KARA members

well, she actually the 3rd oldest/youngest from the group of 5.

although the 3 of them (Shiyoon, Chaekyung, Somin) are all 96-liner.

but Shiyoon is the eldest among them (feb, 21), Chaekyung (july, 7) and Somin (august, 22).

 

anyway, i would like her to be the leader of a new group too~
