So So Min is the 5th trainee and the 3rd puretty member (Shi Yoon, Chae Kyung, and her) that leaves two more trainees and two Puretty members not listed yet.

 

I saw in another thread that Hye In has left DSP for an acting agency (probably for the best since DSP has been going downhilll) so that leaves Jae Eun out of the remaining Puretty members. Age-wise I don't really see her as a fit for Kara at all, she just turned 16.

 

I wonder if this is all this isn't as much for Kara as it is getting attention for the other girls and relaunching Puretty.

That's what I was thinking. I think that DSP already knows which two trainees they want to add to KARA, but they're just doing this show for the sake of getting people interested in KARA again and familiar with the members of what will become Puretty 2.0.

 

I know it's a bit selfish but I do hope that the old Puretty lineup stays the same sans Hyein. I do want them to keep their youthful image so I hope the trainee who replaces Hyein is around the same age as the other members.

I know I said this in another thread but now seeing these girls all together I think DSP is making a mistake adding two to KARA. They should've just made a new 7 member group.

They do look nice together as a group of seven, but I think Young Ji and Sojin would've felt a bit out of place, seeing as how the other five girls look notably younger than them. 

 

I'm actually really excited for Puretty's relaunch (if it even happens)...I want them to remain as a quintet. Yooji and Chaewon are really cute and they look good with the other three members. Yooji is giving me life in those teaser photos. <3

honestly, i think DSP is planning to put Sojin and Youngji into Kara

 

the other 5 will relaunch Puretty (here's me hoping that DSP changes their name...)

 

it's a pretty good tactic, tbh... publicity for both groups

mte. i highly doubt they'd put a pair of 18-16 year old girls in a group where the oldest members are nearing 30. they already knew which trainees they were going to put in kara all along.

i like all of them tbh. somin and sojin definitely seem the most well rounded out of all of them.

You see I thought that too.. But Knatizens will really start giving DSP alot of shit because they actually do have a 7 member group (Rainbow) that is not doing so well as of now.. so it'll seem like theyre replacing them

 

 

 

Here is my break down..

 

I believe they are pumping up Sojin because she is going to end up being the leader of DSP's new girl group.. The next Gyuri or Jaekyung.. Somin will NOT be apart of Kara because she really does look alot like Hara..

 

If they are really taking 2 members.. my bets are on Youngji & Yuji.. because they need a someone that could sing & dance really well. and Youngji is loved by everyone.. but if they wont take 2 then itll just be Youngji..

 

The Puretty girls are basically in the show just to show off their talents for the new version of Puretty.. if not then I dont understand why DSP denied their disbandment..

youngji may be the most popular but sojin would be the better addition to kara imo.

 

if they're going to make one of them the new leader of puretty 2.0, it should be youngji. that way people can keep up with her activities in the new group and eventually support the group as a whole. kamilias will keep supporting kara regardless of who's added to the group, so they may as well make use of youngji's popularity to give puretty 2.0 a head start.

All of my joke dragging aside, I honestly don't see her bringing anything to the table for Kara or the eventual new group that will form. Everything she does can be done better by another girl. Singing? Chaewon and Somin have got it in the bag. Dancing? Yuji slays. Overall well-roundedness and stage presence? Chaekyung, Somin, and Sojin. Even visuals she isn't the best either. Idk, she may be sweet and all but she is just "there" for me. She seems like that kpop group member who got in and you don't know how. 

 

Who knows, maybe in the next few episodes she will impress me, but as of right now she just seems like she's taking up space

i'd rather she debut with the new group (if there is one)

You know, I don't think it's that people don't like Shiyoon, Chaekyung, Chae Won, and Yoo ji. I think because of the situation they're in (possibly becoming a member of KARA) that they're disliked.

 

So far it seems the only reason people don't really like them is because they don't really fit the KARA look, sound and attitude. I really haven't seen anyone discounting their talents, but actually hoping that they'd be placed where their talents can shine and be put to good use.

 

Anyway, I hope that Sojin gets put in KARA. I still think Youngji is probably the best fit, but it would be a shame if they do make a new group and Sojin is waaaaay older than everyone else. She'd be stuck doing cutesy concepts for a while which doesn't seem fair to her.

I'd like to see Chaekyung and Somin together. Both are well-rounded, pretty, young and close to each other. They would shine more in the new group and are strong candidates to become the new DSP's 'it girl'. Plus, they already have a fanbase and will debut with the help of KARA's name, so it'll be hard for them to flop like Puretty. They really should join the new gg.

puretty won't flop again if they debut since they've been reintroduced to the public through this show and obviously the people that are fans of the girls who don't make it to kara are going to support them in their new group.

 

kara's time as a group, on the other hand, is limited. somin and chaekyung are too young to be put in a group that they'll probably only get to be in for another 2-3 years. i want them in a new group.

uh...age actually has a lot to do with this, so yeah. i don't know why sojin is so underrated, she can really dance and her singing is at a stable level. i'd say she's more prepared to be in kara than youngji is.

How's she the least talented member? She has vocal problems, yes, but what member of Kara doesn't. I don't see how it'll hinder her considering the group she's joining. Seungyeon probably strained the crap out of her vocal cords during Pandora promotions, but she still 'hit' those notes. Youngji can do the same. From what I've seen, she has more singing potential than most of Baby Kara.

 

Her dancing is fine. From the 4th episode and showcase Step fancams (which she completely wrecked everyone besides Sojin and Somin), she does exceptionally well. She also did well in her Sherlock cover from her CCM trainee days. The doctors probably told her to be cautious so she doesn't hurt it again when it's healing. She seems more than fine now.

 

Her 'emotional detachment' from the Baby Kara members isn't a bad thing. She seems aware that it's a competition above all things. I was all for Sojin joining Kara in the beginning, but from her personality, I don't see her fitting in anymore. She's too much of a leader and seems to really love these girls.

 

She gets scolded a lot, yes, but it's brought her more hate than pity from what I've seen. It's always brought up when trying to degrade her in some way. I think it's more than obvious that she's popular cause of her looks and her Kara 'feel'.

 

 

Fake fans or overzealous fans, still shouldn't be a reason to hate the person. You can be against her joining Kara and not be an anti. Antis are the worst of the worst, that's the reputation they've earned for themselves.

Pairings I approve for Kara: Youngji + Somin, Somin + Chaekyung, or Sojin + Youngji if all else fails.

gonna have to disagree with you on that first part about youngji

 

somin, chaewon, sojin and even chaekyung have stronger vocals than her. youngji's vocals are all over the place.

 

what's more, her dancing is lacking in comparison to the others and clearly there are two youngjis in the group if the one you're seeing demolished everyone else during the step routine lol

 

nothing against youngji, she's cute, but she's clearly lacking. i have no doubts that she'll improve, but as of right now, sojin and somin are the better contenders for kara based on talent alone.

if their performances are any indication of who dsp will push as the centers of a new group, my bet is on somin/shiyoon

More than anything I want her, Somin, Chaekyung, Chaewon, Shiyoon, and Yuji in their own group and doing concepts that suit them that aren't too teeny bopper.

But knowing DSP nowadays.

 

like even an official announcement on dsp's webpage would be okay at this point

 

i just really don't want sojin hopping around on stage trying to be cute for the rest of her career
