The wind swiftly rises; [i'm dressed in] winter clothes.
gaze fixedly at the scenery whose colors have faded.
Who is [in] the empty courtyard,
Weeping to [her]self [about] the dusk snow and the morning and the night.
It is because held too much anticipation
That [my] heart has turned into dust.
The wind swiftly rises; [i'm dressed in] winter clothes.
[My] delicate hands become rosy clouds in the shadow of the lamp that casts cool light[1].

Across that small road,
Past that big tree,
There is a lost courtyard.
Once upon a time, how many stories [had taken place there]?
The [passing] time [brings about] great changes and makes fun of [those stories].
A letter sent home [by you] rests slantedly next to the quilt.

T/N:

[1] é’釭: 釭 can refer to oil lamps and if you think about it this way, é’釭 then means the same thing as é’ç¯, which, in addition to the literal definition (as translated above), serves as a metaphor for a life of loneliness and poverty.

*^*! I love this song, and the novel... and the drama too
So now your translation also make me very happy <3

Thank you!!!

And about the sword... i don't have reference about that in the past of the characters.
Hum... I think that i need say this,..i was wondering, "Vermilion bird, vermilion bird, why this sound so familiar? why?"... and then i found it. "Yeah! Suzaku!!! i remember it!!" (almost scream! haha)
Because i read before the novel with machine translation, i remembered that the name 'suzaku’ was mentioned there

Maybe this is a spoiler for future readers or people that are watching the drama but the song was mentioned in the book, and this say that the lyric was written by HelanJingting (the lead character : fox/priest), but at the end of the chapter the author clarify that the "lyric" (text) was original written by 凌天笑 (i think that is 知默, right?) and the complete text is this:
"å¯é‡Œéœ“裳飘带, 太液歌飞桃花。 露上秋åƒæž¶ã€‚
ä¸è·¯å¤©æ¶¯ï¼Œ 风举寒衣乱, é’釭影里红线绵, 纤手æˆéœžã€‚
一羽鸿书衾边斜,å¬èƒ¡ç¬³ã€‚
夜æ¼å£°å‚¬éœœåŽï¼Œç‚¹ç‚¹è¹„铃è¸æ¢¦ï¼Œè¸æ¢¦å½’æ¥ï¼Œé•¿å®‰æœˆä¸‹ã€‚
长安月下,是è°å®¶ã€‚"

Then the é’釭 comes from here, but i don't know if this is important ._.

Anyway, thanks again!

Hmm, then I think it should be interpreted differently. I'll made the change and edit the wording of some of the other parts as well. "Classic" type poetry is quite dense and a lot of things are implicit, which, when translating to a much less implicit language like English, requires interpretation. Thanks!
