Rio224 300 Posted May 11, 2014 Share Posted May 11, 2014 So i'm making this weekend all about mama..today i take her to ilmee korean buffet on little river turnpike in virginia. It's sorta busy, the hostess says it'll be a 10 minute wait. So were waiting then four korean guys come in and they are seated right away..So i tell the hostess " why are they seated right away and me and my mom have to wait?". She goes on to apologize and then seats us right away. I let it go, i didn't wanna create drama with my mom there on mothers day weekend..but i think they were seated right away because they were "korean" and that shit pissed me off. Anyhow I wouldn't immediately call it discrimination there really isn't much else to prove it was discrimination this. with really one other group to go on there are many different possible explanations and it's way too quick to jump in and make a big accusation like discrimination without more to go on. Plenty of reviews talk about how the food tasted good but the staff were extremely rude. It's funny how some east asian people feel like when foreigners come to their respective countries that the foreigner should be respectful and should adapt to their culture standards, but when the table is reversed and they're abroad they don't feel like they have to change at all, in fact they carry this sense of arrogance and self entitlement around them.
