[Reported Kim So-yeon, Insight KR] WINNER got impressed for the unity of the crowd/students at Kyung Hee University.

 

On the 10th, WINNER’s leader, Kang Seung Yoon posted a video on his Instagram with the caption, “Taken at the Kyung Hee Universityâ€.

 

Included in his post, the scene from the Kyung Hee University International Campus music festival at Suwon, Gyeonggi Province was captured in the video.

 

On this day, students showed the power of “taechang†(T/N: we’re unsure what this means but we suppose it has something to do with the ‘power of the crowd’…like a whole new level of insanity) by singing along to WINNER‘s iconic songs like “Empty“, and “Really Really†perfectly.

 

Kang Seung Yoon isn’t the only person who was impressed by the energy of the students.

Members Kim Jinwoo (Jinu) and Lee Seunghoon (Hoon) also vividly marveled (at the harmony of the students) and shared their impression by posting through their SNS.

 

Students who were at the scene also shared their unrivaled success through photos captured during the moment that’s reminiscent of a concert through various social networking sites.

 

Thanks to the student’s enthusiasm, WINNER have come to discuss in the middle of the stage to add four more songs in addition to finish off their scheduled set towards the encore.

Wonder why boy groups don't participate in events like this.

I made a thread about this quoting directly from a member of a student association in Korea. Uni festivals don't usually invite BGs in case the event fails, then the whole student council will be blamed and it becomes a "dark past" for the whole Uni. That's because girls react well to both GGs and BGs whereas male students are a bit hard to please so you need a group that appeals to both for the event to be a success. Winner got a considerable amount of fanboys and the number is growing more and more with all these uni festivals. Their set list is also made for events like this and everyone can just sing along and have a great time: girls, boys, elders, etc.

Damn that's deep. So I guess boy groups can only perform on women only university.

I love seeing WINNER rising up snatching fans and festivals like this!!! They have such awesome songs that are tailormade for touring and performing at festivals like this. Plus they sing live and have awesome energy on stage. I'm hoping for even more festivals and fancams!!!! I'm so jealous of all these students, they get to experience their stage first hand while I'm stuck here on the other side of the world, lol.

So proud!! The energy and enthusiasm from the Kyunghee students was just amazing and WINNER really fed off of that energy. The boys looked like they were having the time of their lives <3

 

Wish I could experience WINNER performing at university festival like this just once  rlytearpls.png

I'm so glad he got to experience this amazing audience, it's one thing to hear people singing along to title songs/singles but to see an audience like this singing along to a b-side...must feel really great  rlytearpls.png
