Have you guys noticed the amount of unnecessary hate Ahn Yujin and Jang Wonyoung have been receiving lately is getting ridiculous? I normally ignore it, but it’s been bothering me because it’s now just starting to feel like a witch hunt for her. First, they complain about her for having a lack of talent when she’s already showcased her singing with the first episode and later with veryveryvery when she took a backseat and decided to rap she showed a solid rapping foundation. But since they can’t complain about her rapping, people decided to complain about her screentime (which she has no control over). So now again I’m sure she caught on people aren’t happy with her having screentime so I’m sure she took another backseat for this performance. So what happens? She gets less screentime and she chooses to do the vocals for a dance evaluation but ends up getting second. So now people complain about her rank when she didn’t show much. Like what the heck do you want from the poor girl? She’s just a 15 year old girl, she’s not being greedy for these performances, she’s always positive despite of everything, and they still want to torch her. The same thing is happening with Jang WonYoung. She showed AMAZING stage presence for both her performances and danced well for both, but guess what? People want to complain she’s too young for the dance. Like what the hell is going on? I’m sure I can’t talk about this on the PD48 subreddit because I’d just get downvoted to hell for even mentioning their names with positivity because of how biased that reddit is, and YouTube is getting to be just as bad.

Yes, I've noticed. It's easier to pick on small company fans. International fans always used to target Starship Trainees for the longest. Also, Its hypocritical that they even address her young age when the 48 group is known to have many provocative shoots and performances. They're just bringing up her young age to try to discourage people from voting for her. Not working. I hope the girl continues to rise to the top and stay within the top 3.

Just came here to say this: Ahn Yujin is probably the most capable rapper right now that has a chance to debut, hope she makes it and makes everyone saltier than they already are. It's funny cause most people can't really pinpoint the reason why they don't like her, they're just like "uhmm I don't know why she just throws me off", or "her talent is average" (when they stan trainees that can barely dance w/o looking stiff) or start creating soap opera stories in their delusional minds.  And it's even worse when they try to justify the hate she receives by bringing up her screen time, like, she's 15 though? Y'all are fucking psycho if you think it's justified.

Yes thank you. The fake commentary about how the hate she is receiving is more so annoyance. Yeah, okay.  Keep rationalizing hating two young girls. I saw right through it. Especially with how they were oh so concerned of wooyoung young age, but were pushing for Eri to debut. Also with the whole concept of 48 group having young girls debut at an even earlier age. Jurina was 9 when she debuted.

I fee like i'm just gonna come here to rant. Anyway i'm tired of all the hated yujin is getting right now. First of all people hate her because the amount of screentime she gets and now that mnet cut her screentime, it feel like the damage has been done and no one can retrieve those

I'm over the hate as well. I just hope her fans pull through for her during the finale and vote her into the top 12. I just know the girl will get even more popular and with some time will make a splash in the group. I guess most people are showing their bitterness, because let's be real with a bit more experience on stage like the akb 48 girls, The starship girls could very well make an impact and gain more popularity. They truly have everything going for them. They're both competent dancers, pretty decent to above average vocalist, and Wooyoung is a star in the making.

exactly, they all seem more "concerned" about Wonyoung being sexualized (and using that as a reason as for why she shouldn't debut), than being hated and being called awful names, *sigh, I can't with the double standards.

I said from the beginning that people were using her age as a factor to rationalize her not being in the group. Let's be real, the girl is magnetic on stage, and is not as toned death as many of their faves. Her tone could be worked upon, but puberty will very well help with that. She's pretty, charming, and an all-around great performer. There is literally nothing they can say against her. Aside from her young age, she is giving a run for their chosen center. It may become very likely that she can be the center of this group. Many of them know this and are trying their hardest to deter others from rooting for her. It's also the same individuals that cry foul when their unremarkable faves begin to lose in ranking. I chalk it up to bitterness and jealousy. As long as the group is successful with the general public and popular in japan, international fans will follow like the sheep they are. 

 

And yes there is a double standard. The fact that akb48 is even participating in this competition should've squash the whole young age debate. The group concept itself is about following young girls pursue their dreams as an idol, most of the girls debuted from a young age and has been performing for years in various of concepts. Sakura is younger than the oldest contestants, but is considered their senior in the business due to how long she's been performing.

The dislike tho .. I think Ahn Yujin haters are actually want to be her fans but they were just too ego to admit it .. like why would they wasting their time going to her fancam and to click the dislike button ? Well, at least they contributing the views anyway ..

They can continue with the hate views, it'll force her fans to vote harder for her. This is a common occurrence with Starship trainees with the international fans. They are constantly trolled and hated for even the most minor infraction compared to other company trainees. Starship was always said to be a mid-level company that only had one huge group currently disbanded, but I've seen people saying they have some kind of power. What level of power do they have? Mnet latched onto the girls because they've already had a set fandom and were shown to generate buzz in Korea. That is all that is. I'm getting sick of them making up notions of behind the door politics. I'm to the point ignoring the girls youtube comments, because the international fandom is a bunch of sheep that follow the current kpop trends.

Omg tea. Especially when some of them have been gravure models, which is like, the creepiest thing in the Japanese idol industry.

Thank you. You just have to pay closer attention to some of the conversation about the Japanese trainees to see how far from concerned they are about the under-aged girls. There has been plenty of them posting these pics on the site with glowing comments, but have one of the K-girls in the same outfits that majority of K-dols wear, and it's all about pandering to pervs. I like the J-girls alot, but I'm starting to see some of these fans are getting into weebo territory. Especially with the hyper critical critiques of the k-girls abilities, while crying when some rightfully point out certain j-girls lack of vocal and dancing ability. Plus, I would expect the Japanese girls for having better stage presence. Most of them has been performing in front of hundred-thousands of people on a regular basis. Theater of itself is about conveying the emotions of said materials given. And akb had years to fine tuned what expressions worked, and what didn't. Same cannot be said of girls that have yet to debut and are now learning what weaknesses they need to work on.
