So as some of you may know, Eurovision is next week!  Whether you like it because of the songs or because you like making fun of the contestants and their songs, Eurovision is an important event in Europe (less in some countries but anyway).

For the ones who don't know, Eurovision is a singing contest between Europeans countries + Australia (I still don't understand why the f*** they are here). Viewers elect a singer who is not well known in their country to represent themselves and during the show viewers vote for their favorite country (they are not allowed to vote for the country they come from, sadly). Eurovision is so big that there's even an official fanclub with members from all over the world.

So will you watch Eurovision this year? For who are you rooting for?

I will watch it this year (to make fun of the contestants hehe) and i'm rooting for nobody because I like keeping the surprise but if there's one thing sure it's that I'm not rooting for my dear country lmao, France's music is not really good and we won't win this year, as usual!

Also to people who live outside of Europe/Australia, can you watch Eurovision in your country? It might be a dumb question but it's a big event so maybe some countries broadcast it on some nugu channels?

Yeah we can watch it here in the us ... i'm just going to stream it online tho... as for who I'm rooting for I'm not really "rooting for" anyone but I have a Top 10 and I just want to see if I'm right and they get through. It's kind of like completely passive for me because I have no national pride in this lol.

I'm American. I saw it last year since an OH user was nice enough to stream it on rabb.it. Also certain people in the states have Logo, a channel, (which I don't have) which will broadcast it.

I might watch it again this year since it did keep me busy for a couple hours. Not sure who I am going to root for. Maybe Israel, Spain, or one of the Eastern European countries

I'm definitely going to watch the finale, I don't know about the semi-finals though, maybe I'll watch those too.

I have only heard Denmark's song for this year, so I guess I'm rooting for that. During the actual show, I will figure out for whom/if I will vote.

I watch it every year with my friends so I will watch it  this year too. Hopefully my country will get a good place.

I think this year's songs are so much better than the previous years. so it is hard to choose.

My favourite ones:

Belarus

Belgium

Greece

Israel

Portugal

Sweden

this is my first year in a while i'm going in completely blind. used to be really into eurovision and would revise all the songs from national final season onwards but i found that i grew too attached to songs that would never qualify so... we'll see what it's like going in without hearing any of the songs this year for me!

i hope alex rybak has a decent song and that we brits seal our deserved place on the bottom half of the leaderboard

I've been watching ESC since 2003. My favourite song this year is Funny Girl (Latvia), but I really want Bulgaria to win. Their live performances were incredible during the Eurovision pre-parties.

But I can see Estonia winning this year (I hope juries won't screw it up like they did with Il Volo three years ago).

I never understood how people can watch it.. it's so cringy to me.. those ballads have some of the most bland lyrics I've ever heard. Pop songs are either too weird or just boring.

But I must admit, this one is gold:

Maybe I'll watch it this year but meh
