I saw this and thought it was really cool until I realized the demo's actually fake, just a proof of concept (which is why the sample product is a different color from the one she chose on the computer). She has no idea how she's gonna make it happen, she's just trying to get backing so other people can figure it out for her...

exactly

I'm watching the video atm and it sounds good in theory but she isn't saying the details.

People buy at Sephora for the quality, not for niche colors (online shopping is big place and cheaper companies try to make dupes). Maybe it's because of the color/video quality but the color payoff doesn't look like something you get from Sephora.  How much are the cartridges?

Good idea but I think they should focus on lipstick and eyeshadow for now instead of trying to do foundation and creams too and rethink their demographics. I can't fathom how they'll sell, ingredients alone, at a price cheaper than Sephora much less for teenagers living with their parents. A basic moisturizer is $5 at Walmart and many of the more expensive creams have specific formulations to support unstable chemicals (eg vitamin c) or test it to make sure ingredients work (eg at right ph). Tbh $300 can buy a lot of makeup at walmart or some  stuff at Sephora.

tl;dr most teenagers (their demographic) are too poor to buy it and I doubt it'll make products good enough for the people willing to drop $300+ on makeup
