How do you save money?

I eat home meals, instead of eating at fast food and restaurants, I cut out breakfast and sometimes dinner,  and I pack a lunch too if I don't have time to return home in between classes.

I don't use credit cards, so the only debt I have is for my car loan, and insurance. I live with my dad for free while I'm at UNI, but I keep the house and the yard very clean, and I run errands for my dad when he's underway with the Navy.

and I plan out my purchases, like if there is a dress I like, and some sneakers I want to buy, I'll prioritize them and buy only one thing I want per paycheck, and if it's over 500 dollars, I'll save up two paychecks worth of 'fun money' before I buy it.

I have a nice savings because of this.

Not eating out, that's what I find I personally spend the most on, plus paying for parking. When you're able to drive, look for free parking (or at least cheaper) places whenever you can. If it takes you longer to walk to your destination because of this, so be it.

i live away from my family right now and my source of money is just my aunt and my mom, and i have a savings account handled by my aunt and my mom and i calculate how much at most i spend for two weeks without buying unnecessary stuff. with that i withdraw an amount acceptable by them and if i have extra money by two weeks then that's the amount i save. my priority is on kpop stuff so that's where majority of my extra money goes. i also keep bills that arent commonly circulated.

I don't spend money at all, and I have a savings account plus I keep all the money I get in another account. I only eat at home and when I want to buy something expensive I wait until it's near my birthday so I can ask someone from my family to buy it for me.

I have about £100 in my bank account at the moment, but there are so many things I want to buy...

It's hard to save when you're a uni student and there are 93794387 textbooks to buy I'm like crying tears of blood LOL. That said I'd like to think I'm pretty good at saving as much as I can. I borrow books/textbooks when I can and try not to buy any food on campus. I also never pay with card if I can help it because I feel like when you pay by card, it's easy to lose track of how much you've spent whereas if it's cash, you can physically see it decreasing and you reconsider buying any unnecessary things. Eating shitty but cheap food like instant ramen also helps but it's bad for your health lol.
