Movies based on books that need a do-over

His Dark Materials (Golden Compass) - in general needs to be franchised with films for all the books

The Chronicles of Prydain (Disney’s: The Black Cauldron) - also needs a franchise with films for all books... live action

I would love if Harry Potter was turned into a Netflix series. There was so much that was left out of the movies. They could even expand the books.

Or, instead of redoing the whole movies into TV series, maybe they can make a spin-off about it.

Perhaps more stories on secondary characters, like Hagrid? Or focus on The Ministry of Magic? The Hogsmeade? Or even Snape's past with Lily?

The movies have been embedded in fans and general public's eyes for long, so to redo the whole movies with a whole new cast can cause polarized reaction... and mostly negative ones, I think.

Narnia

For me, Narnia is already perfect, especially the cast. The White Witch, played by Tilda Swinton... I can't think of another actress who can do justice to the character like she did. Why do you think it needs a do over?

I like the lion the witch and the wardrobe, what i dont like are prince caspian and the voyage of dawn treader. They just feel bland and generic, one of those "look at these cool special effects and cgi!" But with no substance

Yeah, I gotta admit the movies after "The Lion and the Witch" didn't really leave that much of impression on me the way the first one did.
