Is this sexual harassment?

so there is this teacher that i went to his house,he is really famous in this town and has a lot of students coming to his house.

I have been noticing he overall is a bit weird...the way he talks/teaches/walks...

But the worst part is that he started hitting my head with his finger and say u used ur brain well when i answered a question right. Then moved to grabbing my arm to get my attention to what he was teaching and later...he pulled my cheek... *facepalm*

I didnt know how to react specially that he is famous and is same age as my non existence grandfather. I just laughed and moved on but he did same things on the second session...how should i react to this? Is it a serious case?

sex·u·al ha·rass·ment
/ˈsɛkʃ(əw)əl həˈræsmənt/

noun

  • 1.harassment (typically of a woman) in a workplace, or other professional or social situation, involving the making of unwanted sexual advances or obscene remarks.

idk if you'd consider these sexual advances but if they're making you feel uncomfortable, you should speak to somebody..no teacher has the right to touch you if you don't want them to

i also think the (typically of a woman) is kind of unnecessary since anyone can get harassed, but still

Idk if it’s sexual harassment necessarily, but it’s still creepy.

Why is a teacher having students over at their house anyways?

Its a teacher that teaches in private classes, more like some type of extra activity once ur class in school/uni is over

ummm to teach them? duh

When I was in 6th grade my math teacher used to bring me to her house to teach me extracurricular shit. And it didn't feel creepy.

ot: if that bothers you, notice your parents.

No I mean like school teachers.

My mom used to do classes like that but just for neighborhood kids.

Here school teachers aren’t even allowed to give their social media to students.

Maybe; if you feel uncorfable you tell him to stop doing that, and you have 100% right to demand him to stop, but as an adult myself ugh.... i swear i see anyone under 25 as kids, and sometimes (my fault) i treat them foolishly as kids; talk to your parents about this

since when were students even allowed in their teachers houses...? i'm pretty sure that that isn't even allowed (but then again it depends on where you live).

... thats not harassment. like far. i dunno where did you get that assumption

hes either just weird or touchy type of person.
either you tell him youre not comfortable (privately, not in public with people watching- they could get the wrong idea) or stay away

Quite relatable for me...

Last year my Biology teacher kept saying I was so cute and used to punch my cheeks often. Then once he asked me if I had been feeling sensual for that cuz my eyes were getting teary when he was around me. It was such an embarrassing moment in front of my classmates that the only reason my eyes' teariness was that he was smoking a lot & the smell was making my eyes uncomfortable. You'd better inform your parents about that...

I think the reason why that is happening is that you are not paying attention or you did a good job specially you said it, he hits you grab your arm and pulled your cheek its like the way they are giving some remarks and etc.. Its a bad practice for teachers since its phyisically abusive (basically to get your attention to listen to him and actually be serious studying). but if it feels a bit more creepy in your next sessions and if you don't like the touchiness then be vocal to your parents since you are the one that is in the situaton.
