binsbins 575 Posted April 26, 2018 Share Posted April 26, 2018 ok so this has got to be the weirdest thing that has happened to me this whole month i was at a classmate's apartment because we have a group project this friday and there's still some stuff to fix about the presentation, and since it got kinda late, i offered to drive the other two group members home i dropped guy #1 off at his building with no incident then i get to guy #2's place, he steps out of the car, and as i'm waiting for him to unlock the door to the building, a bicycle comes out of ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE at an absurd speed and hits the side mirror on my door i scream, guy #2 screams, bike guy screams, it's a whole thing (bike guy is super drunk, as you may have imagined, i'm not even sure how he was riding a bike to begin with) bike guy got a few scratches from falling face first into the pavement, but seemed mostly unfazed as he literally just got up, got BACK ONTO HIS BIKE, and just went away guy #2 helped me file a police report just in case, but honestly the whole thing was so fast neither of us could react properly my side mirror is completely smashed from the bike's handlebar and i may or may not have a heart condition now the police had to give me a ride home because i can't drive my car until the side mirror gets fixed and now i'm praying that the insurance will cover that because i do not have money for this but i can't afford to be car-less either sakhfjj help me anyway i hope your day was better than mine lmao now i'm exhausted but i'm so stressed i can't sleep edit: in case anyone was wondering, the police managed to track the guy down! they found him passed out on the sidewalk a few blocks down from where it happened, and he will have to pay for my side window + a fine for going around drunk on a bicycle Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Hope the rider pays for the damage. i hope so too :( thank you! have you all tried to id the bicycle guy? or asked the police to help find him? if it was absolutely his fault he would be the one to cover all the damages i got into a car accident once with this guy thinking he could run a red light and scratched and dented my front passenger side bumper and he covered for all the damages he disappeared to god knows where, but the police are looking for him (especially since he's still very likely to get into a worse accident in his state) and yeah, the car was parked in front of the building, so there's a witness and security footage on my side i hope this all works itself out Hope this comes out well for you and they find the drunken idiot.
