Even if my country is fucked up, it's really hard to get a gun in my country because you have to get a license.

To have your license approved can take years and must have a solid reason to convince the police chief that you need it.

What about yours?

Here is very complicated. You can only have guns at home if you practice hunting or a shooting sport. In both cases you have to go thru a long process to obtain the license and there are a lot of rules and norms you have to follow to keep the weapon at home.

For example, the license only authorizes the transfer of the weapon from home to the firing range, weapon that must be unloaded and inside the box in the trunk of the vehicle. If the police find the weapon loaded or if you go around with the gun (even unloaded) you are in big problems.

You just have to be 18 or older to buy a gun in America, or at least in my state. I could probably go out and buy one today. Even if I wasn't old enough to buy a gun, I know people who do own guns, but getting their guns would be trickier. But some other people are less responsible with keeping their guns locked up.

In America, you need to be 18 to buy rifles and 21 to buy handguns. Depending on your immigrant status, state law, and the category of your firearms, you might need different licenses other than legal ID and clear background record. Then just wait for delivery of your firearm to FFL and pass the background check.

p.s. thanks for the technology, we should be able to print out some guns at home in 10 years.

I know states have a lot of differing laws and some are stricter than others

But for Florida you need to be 18 for a rifle and 21 for a handgun, pass a background check you can’t get one if they have history of crimes like domestic violence

You wait 3 days for delivery (only handguns)

In order to get concealed carry you need a permit but there is no concealed carry for guns like rifles or shotguns

I never saw a gun irl here, so almost impossible?

In my country Securicor vans are escorted by armed soldiers sometimes and they have guns. That is pretty much the only real gun I have ever seen irl-luckily.

In my country guns are legal, but require licences and I would have to imagine they are quite difficult to get. Usually only things for hunting and famers, etc.
