Ikemen is short for "iketeru mens" in the first place it's not only referring to attractive men
If a guy has an atmosphere that is popular among the opposite sex then they can be an ikemen. There are a lot of people who have that mistaken

It's probably the translation, but I've read these comments over and over again and I still don't know what "Ikemen by Atmosphere" is supposed to entail.  Does it mean that someone is called an Ikemen as a subjective standard or does it mean that a particular person has an aura or personality that makes them more attractive than their looks?  I can see it mean both things.

it refers to man who is charming, has an aura despite not being classically handsome. a lot of time tall but not rly attractive guys are called that (雰囲気イケメン is how it's called in japanese btw）
