Erina Mano & footballer Gabu Shibasaki are married!

Former Hello!Project icon and current actress Erina Mano is married to professional footballer Gaku Shibasaki!

 

The two did it in secret, apparently way back in August 2017. The actual marriage submission however will be done sometime during the Summer, once Shibasaki is done participating in the World Cup.

 

The relationship itself has been very long distance. Mano herself is of course based out of Tokyo, but Shibasaki plays for a team called Getafe CF. They are based out of Spain. He is also a member of Team Japan, and will play for them in the upcoming 2018 World Cup in Russia.

 

Mano and Shibasaki met through acquaintances back in autumn 2016 and quickly took a liking to each other. Shibasaki became a member of Getafe last year in July, it’s unknown how often he travels between Spain and Japan but the two seemed to have made it work.

 

According to a new report, Mano’s agency only learned about the marriage when everyone else in the public did. They left the generic “we leave her private life to herself†comment, and stated they have yet to receive an official report from her about marriage. Oops!
