love 8,778
assuming: a) you eventually have children and b) they want to wear makeup, at what age would you let them wear it (and maybe what specific types of products)? i started wearing makeup (minus foundation) in 7th grade..even if it didn't look that great, i think it's a fair age for kids to experiment..i'm glad my parents allowed me to wear eyeshadow, mascara, and eyeliner at that age
Laamaa 7,510
When they want to *shrug* It's their decision. (aka I will never have children, I'd be a horrible mum.)

A Hamster Named Loneliness 3,680
when they're in high school. IMO middle school is still too young to be wearing makeup.
Peach Toadstool 3,739
I'd say 16.

piapentagon 3
i think 16 is appropriate but even then i'm not letting her go overboard i will teach her a minimalist approach and buy her some high quality cosmetics no cheap drugstore makeup, and she's not going out caked up like a kardashian either over my dead fucking body lol i'm not having no clown child lol if she wants to draw her lips on over the lines like kylie jenner she'd better kill me first lol
☆*:。Lemonade 。:*☆ 3,433
tints and lipsticks are okay in highschool and even powders but I wont allow foundation and concealer until theyre older or until theyve gotten the hang of having a good skin care routine. Pretty much just because I dont want their skin ruined
Carat 7,426
I started to wear make up in grade 7 cause I hit puberty a lot sooner then pretty much everyone else in my class so pimples were a THING for me so it really depends on if they need it if not then probably like 15 for full make up and let them play around with everything else at 7 grade like I did

Night Daydreamer 1,091
16 and very light makeup. However, if they have serious skin problems and need to cover it up, I could lower the age to 14.
gudetama 1,463
16 and minimal makeup only. They would have to buy it themselves though.
Sdm 13,010
16 -17 but very light make up. I don't want them to ruin their skin
Kayou 3,955
Probably will let them play with it for learning but not going out with full makeup too soon, probably light color makeup is fine. Poor healthy skin my cousin’s skin broke because of foundation. My parents didnt allowed to use makeup until I work and bought them myself which I think is way too late now that I love it so much. sakurahanabira 6,634
I knew a lot of girls who started experimenting with makeup when I was in high school so probably around there. And I think it should be kept minimal like just subtle eyeshadow and lip gloss.

bellendciaga 7,198
idk man..12/13? girls wear make-up very early nowadays, heck even babies will come out baked asf fresh out of the womb at this rate
OfficialQueenOfOH 113
Any age that they want. I had freedom since beginning and it helped me not be so obsessed with make up like the ones that didn't have permission earlier. Plus if they are not in their teens yet they can use kids make up. CherryAngel 431
I'd say it depends on how much they're going to wear. I knew someone who looked like this at 11/12:
