so i needed this course but it was in conflict for both fall and spring semester with another course

i decided that since it was just a core requirement to take the equivalent at cc

i emailed admin today and the lady responded that i need to get approval prior to taking the course

but i'm already finished with it imstupid.png

i'm fine with them rejecting the transfer of the course but do you guys think i can get in trouble for taking the course?

i've read the student handbook but can't find anything specific

What you do in your free time outside of school isn't within their jurisdiction so they can't do anything to you. However, transferring credits always requires prior approval, so keep that in mind for next time. Your school has no idea what the components of the course curriculum are or if they even match up to their equivalent course in terms of difficulty, the workload, etc. They can't just guess or take your word for it. They require proper documentation.

You won't get in trouble but on the off chance that they don't take the transfer credit you'll be effectively paying to take the class twice.
