I’m in 10th grade in HS. One thing I regret is not doing well freshman year of highschool because of my insecurities and low confidence on myself I believe my gpa in freshman year was a 2.9.I regret on not doing better. You?

When I was a college freshman I decided to change my major, I'm happy with my decision but during that time my anxiety got really bad bc I had very negative feelings about what I was doing, and I isolated myself a lot and felt really dissapointed in myself. I wish I had taken it better and not be as mean as I was to myself during that time.

I have other regrets but this is the one I thought about first.

Letting the awful managers at my first job when i was 17 take advantage of me. I regret not quitting on the spot and calling them out on BS.

I also regret stressing over grades in highschool. i was an IB honors student. (also, waste of time but still i dont regret being in IB because my school was full of really trashy kids and being in honors classes means less asshole students)  If you have the option GO TO COMMUNITY COLLEGE. FUCK THE UNIVERSITY EXPERIENCE!! All my highschool friends tried to go to university because they wanted the college experience as a freshman and now theyre swimming in debt or dropped out. Im soooooo glad that i was too lazy to apply to colleges in highschool. i saved SO much more money by going to community college and then transferring to a 4 yr. plus, you can still live on uni campus as a junior transfer [thats what im doing] so i still get a university experience but i saved myself thousands.

Unless youre getting a full scholarship, but even then I would get so bored being at he same school for 4 years.

also another thing i regret is not keeping in contact with some good people from highschool. i still talk to one friend, but other then that i dont talk to anyone. its been 4 years and ofc im also glad im not one of those losers who looks at highschool as their golden days either

I wish I could have chosen a more practical major. I love what I have learned during my 4 years of uni, but it's really difficult building a career in a country that doesn't really put importance to social science research. Now, I'm planning on going to med school, but I wish I could have just chosen getting a degree which would lead to a stable career right after college. ohdearplz.png

Oh my, many things actually

My major ( this is the biggest regret tbh ,I just shouldn't have chosen this field of study ,it's not for me )
The way I handled my social life
Not having taken advantage of my uni years ( didn't take part of associative work etc when I could )
Not having deepened my general culture
Not having perfected my languages when I had enough free time to do so
Not having benefited from my teen years ( didn't have fun, didn't take care of my physical appearance ,my social skills etc )

wow I sound like a typical loser lmao

I regret becoming a person that is so easily hurt by others. I'm aware of how sensitive I can be at times, but it just can't be changed.

My sister always tells me to just stop caring what other people say but I as much as I want to take that advice, I can't.

wasting 4 years of my life

not stopping my best friend that day

not taking some initiatives in my life

but.. at the same time the explanation I give myself (that I DECIDE to give myself to live better) is that everything happens for a reason. it had to go this way.
