For those that played The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, what was your experience like?

So I've played like 30 hours of the game, just doing some missions here and there, exploring the world of the game created by CD Projekt RED and literally been in love with the entire experience so far. I just got to

Get Junior's and about to finish A Favor for Radovid main quest

quest, think I'm midway through the first act but I'm so immerse with the side content of  the game. Quite  honestly have to be one of the very few games where I actually venture out to do more than just the quest but actually care about the world itself and discovering various places and even just admiring the environment. Is that just me or did anyone else get the same feeling of the game?

Please no spoilers and if you were to spoil something just put it in spoiler tags since I still haven't finished it.

yeah when i played it i remember that spend a lot of hours and ended up wanting more, which is weird since i get tired of games pretty easily, i almost finished it 100%.

when you finish it i recommend you to play the dlcs, they are great, specially blood wine since it adds A LOT is like a whole new story with it's map and all

also this is not spoilers but i got to say it

I enjoyed the side content, too. I think that's it's greatest strength. I also loved how much lore and depth there was to it's world. I wanted to explore the map, or at least, it gave me reason to want to. Making your potions and oils to defeat certain enemies was also super cool, and it felt rewarding.

BUT...

I can never finish the game. I've tried playing it twice, and the second time around I got to Novigrad, and ended it there. The reason for that is because of the gameplay. It felt soooo clunky. Geralt always felt super weird to control. It almost felt like it was lagging when I wanted him to strike a certain direction. The horse was pain in the ass to control. He can automatically jump over fences when you don't want him to, but God forbid, you get near a tiny ledge. It's like he ends up hitting invisible walls everywhere you go. Thankfully, there were fast travel areas.

Also, as much as I loved the games depth, sometimes it was on the overwhelming side of things. the codex in that game is so intimidating. I got around that by just focusing on the parts that mattered to me for the quest I was on.

As for the main quest, itself, it felt kind of lacking compared to some side quests. But it was still interesting enough. I've given up trying to play the game. It's just not meant to be... I can still acknowledge that it's a great game, though.

I felt like I stole the game because I bought it when it was on sale last week xD got the entire collection and would have to play all dlc and explore the game even more after I'm done with it's msq.

I played the first game of the Witcher and I loved Triss due to it but I'm sorry but Priscalla song just made me love Yen so much, that song she sang.

Read the lore behind the song and even remembered some parts of the beginning and that just sealed the deal.

I'm surprised on that when it feels so fluid for me guess this is due to the fact I'm playing on pc or is that the problem on consoles? or was that due to the gameplay in the beginning, could have been patched?

My brother brought it to me around 11 pm, I started playing around 12 am and I completely lost track of time. It was about 11 am when I finally realized that I had been playing for hours and hadn't even gotten past the first village imstupid.png. There was just so much to explore within the world and so much to learn about his abilities and fking GWENT! That was hard to walk away from

I'm not that good in Gwent but it's a really fun game. What did you think of white orchid area?

I've finally got to Skellige, played like 48 hours of the other areas literally can't stop exploring and enjoying the scenery.

I wasn't into it either, I kind of hated Gwent but I kept playing because I couldn't stand losing >.>.

I didn't think much of the area, at first. It was simply the starting village of the game and then I encountered the rest of the lands around the area that had been burned, destroyed or ransacked. It made me notice the effects of war in the village more once I returned there. But the fact that it was in tact made more of an impression when compared with how much other places were ruined. Provided a nice amount of info for the backstory and good starting missions, too.
