The guy was insisting on giving her his phone number but something came on conflict, So she didn’t get it but she doesn’t want to think she was ddelusional. Him on the other hand should know better than to talk to a minor, let alone trying to give his number to her. He needs to learn about restraint. Tell her not to do it. That being said in most contexts it can be problematic specially for the older dude and that's why I always stay away from teenagers in those situations (where the girl wants to get my number or add my in social media).
