GoldenRule 741 Posted April 15, 2018 Share Posted April 15, 2018 Hey everyone - I took a break from KPop for several months because none of the groups I really stanned for came back (call it bad luck, but all of the groups I liked were either nugu or disbanded ) Also I wasn't on OH so much, and this other site I go on has a KPop thread that I LOVE but they only ever talk about a few girl groups. As a result, I've barely listened to any KPop that's new for 2018. So, what's new this year? What are your favorite releases so far? Who just came back in a big way, or what are the important new debuts? And beyond music, has there been any big news in the industry I should be aware of? This is literally your chance to pimp out your fave to a willing audience (of one ). So whether it's a big group with their new single I just HAVE to listen to, or a nugu you want someone to give a chance, now's the time because I'm all ears. Red Velvet had a comeback with their “Velvet†side, their song Bad Boy was amazing (but I don’t think that it’s everyones cup of tea). NCT U had ‘BOSS’ and ‘Baby don’t stop’, NCT Dream had ‘GO’, NCT 127 had ‘Touch’, and NCT 2018 had ‘Yestoday’. They’re planning on promoting their song ‘Black on Black’ but as a whole group. What would you say are LOONA's biggest releases so far? (I know they haven't debuted as a full group yet, but they've had a LOT of pre-debut stuff). They seem worth getting into cuz they release so regularly. Oh yeah I think I remember watching this when it came out. This is definitely my type of song. Thanks for sharing! This and "BOSS" which I also just listened to are sort of reminding me that NCT U just isn't really my style. idk if it's hip hop or what (I suck at classifying music), but it's just not the sort of thing I usually enjoy. I hadn't realized they'd released this as well. The April song was pretty, not the type of song I'd listen to again and again but it was nice. I don't thiiiink I've listened to any of their previous songs so I may check that out. The N Flying song was great! I really liked the video too, great concept. (I didn't understand the part where the guy was crying over his thumb print or something haha - what was that about? ) The INFINITE song was good too! I don't think I'd paid attention to them since Last Romeo (which was a bop and a half) Uhm Jung Hwa's song was nice. Pretty video, too. Hey since you have a Nine Muses badge, can I ask - are you expecting them to have any releases anymore? I listened to it at the time and wished it had a real chorus The music is nice though holy CRAP "Closed Doors" was good. I watched to the last second to see if there might be some kind of resolution, and when she looked over and smiled I literally said "YAAAAS" out loud I'm struck by the fact that it's in English - do you think she plans to promote outside of Korea, now or someday? (I'm also struck by the fact that we never see the other person, buuut I'll leave it at that) I'm a big fan of BoA. That song wasn't my favorite but I'm a stan. idk if you follow her Japanese releases but Jazzclub was a bop and some of the album tracks (especially Manhattan Tango) were also really good. I really liked Hey Mama but this didn't do it for me as much. but omfg when that guy sang "can I be your boyfriend" I said yes out loud before I could stop myself The Jenga video was really awesome The BanHanNa song is a little too silly for me.
