They have made various facebook posts to promote Nilo with people covering the song etc and even instiz posts reacting to the marketing And you know something funny, Limez's company website is suddenly down today, but oh I could access it yesterday! http://limez.co.kr/ So Limez Music Network is a the viral marketing company that uses viral facebook accounts to promote their artists, so far with JDC, 40 and now NIlo Here's Nilo's chart progression taken down statistically per day leading up to the scandal Viral marketing is different than say a viral video that comes naturally. Viral marketing manipulates how visible said artist or other are on SNS, seeing how viral they can actually make them. Chart reversals in other instances see the songs rising at a similar rate on majority of the music sites, but a part from the big 4 of the music sites (Melon, Bugs, Mnet, Genie), he doesn't have great charting on the others, which implies only the main 4 were targeted to get the most marketing out of So here's the thing. The manipulation of the charts seemed to have started happening during the early hours of a few nights ago, where Nilo shot up into the top 3 and even snubbing 1 in the middle of the zombie hours, where only fandoms mass stream to get their favs to the top. EXO-L and Wannables were the first people to point out the suspicious charting at such time and with that it spread. People thought it would just be for that night because real time is much harder to crack through given the digital competition, but somehow Nilo did it and this was before the amount of articles and news came out of it Even before people knew of the situation, he was already shot up to #1. Most K-netz did not even know who this person was let alone the song, but it was #1 on their most valued music chart, and seeing the similar chart progression with JDC.. Bot manipulation seems to be what is being pointed at most due to the similar spikes, the manipulation happened moderately at first for both times but shot to #1 so quickly without much time. This time, it went more noticed because you had big names like WINNER and TWICE already sweeping the charts in the early days of their song promotions, and to have someone without a fandom suddenly appearing during zombie hours and overtaking during the day obviously gets people talking Limez entertainment has successfully swept the public with the manipulation to make the song last #1 now without much intervening needed due to the song being talked about and everyone tuning in to see what this never heard of song and never heard of man is doing on their chart And for those playing at home, no this is not coming from a pressed once whos favs lost a PAK, don't care about a PAK nor competition taking over, it's the state of how the competition is taking over, and given this is the most talked about topic in the last few days, I was intrigued to find these all thanks to some OH users And to those fake stanning because of a viral marketed #1, have fun Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I mean, according to @wondertwice Melon is dropping on stock because of him and Kakao M main source of income is Melon.
