Following F.T. Island's Hongki, rapper Cheetah and singer Soyu have been confirmed as vocal trainers on 'Produce 48'.

 

Former SISTAR member Soyu will be working alongside Hongki, while returning coach Cheetah will be helping out the trainees with rapping. 'Produce 101' dance trainer Bae Yoon Jeong is also coming back, and 1MILLION Dance Studio's May J Lee and Choi Young Joon have also been added to the lineup.

 

'Produce 48' will begin filming with 96 trainees on April 11 KST. As previously reported, 'Produce 48' is a female trainee survival show bringing together both Korean and Japanese idol trainees in partnership with Japan's AKB48 girl group. Ahn Joon Young PD of 'Produce 101' season 1 & 2 is in charge of productions yet again.

 

It's expected to premiere in June.

How are they going to communicate with the Japanese participants? I'm also kinda surprised that they'll have rap mentors... I was hoping they'd skip the rapping this time.

Translators. I don’t think the communication issue is going to be as big as people think.
