Double dates are the easiest way to break the ice imo. You can be natural with your friend and he/she (significant other) with their friend. As long as you aren't awkward with people it's great because everyone is talking ^_^

Yes, double dates are pretty much fun, you don't feel nervous because you are accompanied.

Plus i hate serious conversation... It's worse when you are with your partner and they bring their single friends, going with another couples and single friends is fun too ^^

I believe there are no let-downs in double dates
