kookiestealer 92
I have always had an issue with intimacy, both emotionally and physical. The problem is that I have grown quite close to one of my male friends at Uni - emotionally. I have developed a crush on him and told him that I find many social situations difficult. He is very respectful and kind. I feel like he cares for me as a close friend, but I’m not his priority. We belong in the same friend group and with other girls he is very physically affectionate. With me he keeps his distance (not only him, but everyone is very careful with me lmao). Before - if we were alone - I become a nervous wreck because of my feeling for him, but this last time I managed to be more teasing/normal with him. It ended up with him having to help me with something on my computer and our bodies touched. I became hyperaware and tensed up, but enjoyed it?? lmao I don’t know how to progress it from here? If I try to initiate physical contact everything feels so robotic and unnatural for me.

geminimoon 274
Take it slow, patience is key. If you are comfortable with it, let him know that you want to have that physical contact and ask him if he is okay with initiating it but taking it slow. Like touching your shoulder, touching your arm, touching your hand, holding your hand, etc until you’re comfortable with it. With confessing your feelings, start off small by giving him compliments until you’re comfortable with sharing your feelings with him. Communication and patience is key in a relationship. I really suggest you communicate with him as much as possible if he is someone you like and if you want to take your relationship further.
