[Fan-account] TWICE's What Is Love sounds like Like Ooh Ahh

Twice recently wrapped up their filming of KBS' Hello Counselor and on this occasion they showcasted some bits of their upcoming song What Is Love. An once attended the recording and gave his fan account on the song:

 

"Rather than CU,TT,likey,Signal it had feels similar to LOA. They(the prev titles)were bright/youthful for the most part but this time should I say it was less bright?" It was played for a short while so op doesn't remember much but the song was nice

 

 

What we know so far:

 

1. JYP produced and composed the title track

2. Nayeon and Momo's facial reactions for the MV, cb song and dance respectively (clarification for people who don't want to spend time to watch the v, Nayeon says it's not like an mv and that "there may be people who never watch the video, but never those who'd only watch it once". They've watched it multiple times and Nayeon at first watch said her expression was like hmmmm...? then hehehe... then HEHEHE... then hohoho. Momo and Sana were HEHEHE-ing from the first go.) replaced pics with vid

3. The girls wrote down what they think about 'Love' in the album

4. Sana, Momo and Nayeon singing "Nananana what is love?" and Sana apologizing afterwards for spoiling it before. (The rest of the members also sing it separately throughout the vlive. They also dance the heart question mark dance throughout separately.)

5. The choreography has no killing part (e.g. shy shy shy). It's dancing all the way and it's really hard.

6. Dahyun said we can have high expectations for the song and look forward to the music video.

I think we should take this with a grain of salt because it's just one person's point of view, maybe it's just a same feeling as LOA but not that much alike (all the LOA fans shouldn't expect too much similitary LOL) but I'm liking these fan-accounts and it makes me even more excited about the song, it's probably still bright (judging from the concept) and similar sound that they usually have (color pop) but with a different feeling probably? it's so exciting! I can't wait ;___; oh and I'm happy that those people who heard the song on the show said that they like it. they probably just heard it once but they already have a positive opinion so this is great!

Unlike many Once and even non fans, LOA is actually one of my least favorite title tracks of TWICE (which doesn't mean that I don't like it, just not as much as the rest). The little part that they sung during the Vlive, kinda lowered my high expectation for the song, because my first impression was that this doesn't really sound as catchy as I hoped, but of course this is literally just 2 seconds of the song without music etc so it doesn't mean anything.

 

Overall, still really excited, and specially excited for the B-Sides too as I usually like the B-Sides more than the title tracks.

LOA is my favorite, it’d be nice if What is love gonna has the same vibe. I didn’t watched Sixteen, I got to know TWICE from their debut MV on and I like them right away, kinda nostalgic, if this song is like LOA, it’s bring back lots of memories for me.
