Are BlackPink Instagram models and vloggers or what ?

Who understand what is YG plan with this group ?

This company doesnt deserve their place in the big 3.. It feels like they dont know how to manage an idol group tbh.

Tour is already scheduled. No way he will send them touring with 5 songs to perform.

Why are you underestimating YG? For BlackPink, YG can do anything, give them 1 comeback a year then put them in his dungeon, release 1 song a year, repack the same song with old album, etc.

They joined the wrong company for ggs

For females of any kind.

Let's recap:

No official comebacks or musical releases were produced by YG for any YG female artists for the entire year 2015.

In a recent announcement, Yang Hyun Suk mentioned comebacks/music releases only for male acts.  So far, there is no definite indication that any new BlackPink songs will be released before July (and no specific mention of any music releases afterwards).

This means that during the entire year of 2017 and at least half of 2018, only 1 new song by any female YG artists will have been released. (Sadly, the last part of 2016 can also be added to this period of no female comebacks/music releases.)

During the same time period, music releases by male YG artists have included multiple Winner releases, multiple iKon releases, multiple Sechskies releases, multiple male artist solo releases (including solos by boy group members), an Epik High release, etc., etc.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the boy groups.  (If it weren't for Epik High and Tablo, we would almost never see Lee Hi getting a chance to sing new material).  I do have something against Yang Hyun Suk.  He is so obviously biased against female artists that it boggles the mind.  I hope no new female artists ever sign contracts with YG in the future.  And don't get me started on Katie Kim's weird situation.  Is her contract period with YG simply going to pass away in complete silence?

(And pleeeaaase, don't anyone try to give me the lame argument that "well, the boy groups write all of their songs and do all of their own production work."  That is a very exaggerated notion.  And if it was true, that would only mean that all of the songwriters, composers, musicians and producers that are on staff at YG, or who regularly work with YG, such as Teddy, would be completely free to devote nearly all of their time to working on music for the female artists, right? (It's simple logic.  If the boys are doing everything themselves, there is no need for YG to keep assigning YG producers, musicians, etc. to work on stuff for the boys.)  Furthermore, it's likely that many of the female artists are capable of doing much of their own music, arranging, etc., too, but YG won't let them and won't approve what they come up with.)

I guess you are two days late with this rant. Seems like BP is coming back in May to start a tour later in summer.

Are they coming back with new music or an album...or are they just starting a tour?  I've been looking for news about any scheduled new music releases announced for them and so far I haven't found anything.  Maybe I just need to keep looking.

There hasn't been any concrete details, but all signs point to at the very least a mini album. That is because BP are scheduled to have tours in Japan and it would just be a huge travesty if they didn't release any new material before they go on tour.

And also, both iKon and Winner have/will release full albums for their comeback, so there's also a chance that BP might

Where have you been these past 2 years?

Blackpink are models and are only part-time idols, don't you know? unsure.png

That's pretty much how YG views all female artists/groups.  They only exist at the company to support the boys, be accessories and do modeling and fashion stuff.  He doesn't take them seriously as musical performers.  They will never be allowed to have equal promotions, equal status or equal popularity with the boys in the area of musical performance.  The ratio of investment by YG into the musical side of things between YG males and females has to be at least something like 100 to 1 in favor of the boys.
