It's really quite easy to learn how to read Korean, much easier than Chinese or Japanese.

I would encourage any kpop fan to try studying it since it might become a useful asset for you in the future, and you are already "immersed" in the language through your hobby (even better if you also watch variety shows or dramas etc.).

I still don't know all the characters but I can figure them out 80% of times anyways because hangul is cool like that.

I don't think Kpop fans are compelled to learn Korean by whatever reason.

But if you're gonna keep being exposed to it, then why not? Makes your life much easier as well. Shooting two birds with one stone.

i can read stuff like my faves' names, group names, basic greetings but my ass is too lazy to sit down and properly learn korean

You only need to sit once to learn the basics and then you can learn as you go. For example if you learn 'ha' (하) and 'n' (ㄴ), you'll recognize 'han' (한) when you see it.

I cannot; I was never interested to learn.

I can recognize EXO's name written in Hangul ( that's all)  and  I understand some words and expressions in Korean ( I've seen many  k-dramas, involuntarily  I've learn expressions.)

as someone that's been into kpop since about 2011 i started learning korean involuntarily just through watching korean dramas, variety shows and my bias' contents. now i can read hangul and even do my own translations for my bias' what a life.

i was raised on korean entertainment thanks to my grandmother who babysat me and didn't speak any english. i've literally been a fan of kpop since i was born. oddly enough, i can't speak or write my own sentences in hangeul, but i can read it and hear it. it's weird how languages work.
