Basically Hyunjoo could have had first pick since she got all 4 date cards. She wanted to go to Yeosu with DG but gave up that date card to Jangmi b/c she wanted to go there. DaEun picked Haneum. Then HyunJoo let Youngjoo decide first between Busan and Sokcho and Youngjoo picked Busan because Hyunwoo talked about Busan 5 million damn times. Hyunjoo took the date that was left over which was Sokcho and she and everyone else thought she would be going on the date with GyuBin. Instead she ended up with Hyunwoo smh. Hyunjoo was considerate and nice to all the girls and put their feelings before herself so I don't want to hear anything bad about her again for circumstances that is out of her control. She's beyond nice. Like girl can't win, she's tired and so am I. If I was her I would have done what I wanted and picked Yeosu.

DaEun posted on instagram again today. She is riding a carousel and has a big bright smile. I guess she has worked out some of her feelings about the viper pit called social media. Brave soul if you ask me.

Ep 12 is one of my favorite ones. It embraces all the thing: twist, emotional roller coaster and fun. I felt really interesting and excited, even jumped when "Hello darkness, my old friend" bgm was turned on. DG-JM is the smooth and funny date out of 4. DE-JH, sorry to say but it's quite lame which didn't catch my attention. HW-HJ is awkward and then comfortable and then awkward again. All I can see a disappointed HW and a poor HJ. At the end of their date, he mentioned YJ again. It's like he thought about YJ almost during their date and that's why I feel really bad for HJ. She just stucks in HW-YJ love game. YJ and GB date, GB is really smart and thoughtful. Their date feels comfortable and friendly, nothing's special. After that, HW sit alone with "Hello darkness, my old friend" bgm and I can understand why he chooses HJ and YJ chooses GB. Both of them feel tired and exhausted. Next week will be the last ep, and YJ-HW ship still seems optimistic. Another point,although DG chooses JM, I feel he still likes HJ and JM notices that, too. Aigooo. 

I think you've nailed it. At this point I don't care about the shipping anymore. I am just happy to see such positive post by them on instagram. I think all of them will get over all the drama faster than the viewers will.

I am back to report I gave up shipping any couple in HS. Lmao.

I used to be HWxYJ shipper. Of course.

I am quite happy by the fact that they are still in touch.

I haven't even watch the subbed of ep 11 yet, but here I am tuning in for ep 12. *talking bout messed up priorities*  

This episode reminds me of how their christmas date went. It seems those confusing date rules within HS really hit them hard and sweeping almost all major ship like a tornado (except for DExJH). LOL.

Special shout out to the one in charge of BGM, i love love love simon & garfunkel, and when they play "the sound of silence" for HW brooding moment, i almost lost my sh*t. A+ musical taste since season 1, one of the reason I get hooked to tune in every week for this show.

 

My take for this episode:

 

With exception of DE and JH, who basically had no other option available for them but each other (which probably a good thing if their feelings already mutual), everyone else must settled with their second choice. Tho for GB and JM it was their first and only choice, but deep down inside they both know they were in some unrequited love lines, that is why the general feeling of their date is like creating a memory for some sort of closure with their love interest.

 

The situation itself is especially cruel for JM. First, the only way for her to received a chance to date.. IF HJ didn't picked Yeosu card. JM didn't want to put a pressure on HJ and made her think that she have to give that for her sake, but she did anyway. It also a sad situation for HJ, I feel that she originally want her last date to be DG but she had to let that go because she thought it was a best scenario for everyone else in the house. *sigh* JM even said that her heart is hurt (for them). Although DG treats her nicely throughout the date and we as viewer could see clearly how perfectly fit they are for each other, even if it breaks the impossible and DG's feeling sway a lil bit, I feel like JM already gave up on him because from her perspective she could see the possibility for DGxHJ ship to blossom and she knew it herself how much DG adores HJ, She even confess to DG that she almost didn't want to come for their date.

 

I also feel bad for HJ in this episode. Even when she received 4 dating invitations, I don't see her having an upper hand on the situation. On contrary, she was carefully asses the situation and let the other girls chose before her. She picked seokcho because she heard how vocal HW was on how much he liked busan and didn't want to be trapped in the middle of YJxHW drama. However, fate is playing with them and she ended up with the one she tried to avoid the most. And HW...let just say that he didn't hide the fact how disappointed he was that his date wasn't YJ. But if there's a person who could survive and make the best out of difficult situation.. it's HJ. Her personality really thrives in this episode. One of her charms that make her quite irresistible as a person is how much she could make the other person feel more at ease and comfortable with her. Even when HW puts a massive wall between them, in the end he lets his guard down when she asked about the scar on his forehead during dinner. He ends up sharing personal story on his childhood to her and the date turned into a positive experience.

 

YJxGB date is really well planned. Not that it surprised me, since we all saw how dedicated he was on his research to find the best place to visit around busan. There's no doubt he's such a sweetheart and IF his sincerity and steadfastness can sway YJ to choose him as her final pick..we can see why. But honestly...I doubt it.

 

Even when there's a clear jealousy mixed with disappointment between YJ and HW in this episode..I don't see them picking anyone else for their final pick. They already invested too much feelings for this ship to just surrender like that.

If we analyze his cryptic words after their petty argument in ep 11, when he said "if they ended up with different people in this show and they watch this together...they will fight, because he/she could really see how they truly feels in the beginning" which to me basically sounds like a pleading from him to YJ..to clear any seed of doubt and confusion in her mind that it's too late for them changing their lanes. Not the most romantic way to put it, but like I said before, HW has a different way on expressing himself and sometimes his poorly chosen words can be hard too understand, so I don't know whether YJ noticed his effort to convince her at that time. All in all, I think they will still fight for each other, and if next episode snippet is a real telltale, it looks like she told him on why she chose busan and he laugh at how foolish they were. So it's all good, fam.

just saw the episode. I really hope we get at least one genuine couple out of the show by the end. At this point I don't care which couple it is as long as they're happy. I watched all the dates and I wished we got more of the Daeun and Jaeho one. I hate how producers cut their time so short all the time.

Hyunjoo's progression has probably been one of my favourite things on the show. I didn't really like her slyness at first but she has proven to be so much more than that. I really have to agree with the studio cast when they say that she has a 'healthy mindset'. Her position has been pretty tough, being trapped in between the love lines, and I think she has handled it all very well. Girl really made her way to the top of my list. 

 

From what I've read on E12, I'm not that surprised with how things turned out. We're one episode off from the finale, for sure it's going to be filled with twists and turns.

I agree. I feel producers purposely mislead so panel doesn't win in the end. I'm seeing same thing that happened last season. I also probably won't watch the last episode and will just read who chose who like I did for season 1. Also, probably won't watch season 3 because I don't enjoy being manipulated by the selective editing

Started watching the raw last night and finished this morning.

Because of the editing they did, I felt it was a waste of an episode, and I was very very eager to watch it before it aired!

 

I don't understand much Korean, but they choose scenes that made HW and HJ look awkward. When normally their "relationship" is usually more easy going. Maybe to make us think he was really, really disappointed? Then they show scenes where YJ is ignoring HW and he looks tormented (and drinking alone in the darkness, lol, how much more cliched than that can you get?). 

 

So was the editing done so we believe HW and HJ won't end up together because they are disappointed and the date was awkward and HW only picked HJ as a love line because he was jealous that YJ was laughing it up with her date and ignoring him? I, personally, don't believe he would be that petty. It's also possible he wrote a text to HJ to thank her for the date and have closure. 

 

I don't know. Trying to untangle this mess is tiring. 

 

PS. HJ is really sweet. I couldn't understand her giggling all the time in the beginning, but she seems like a genuine girl that has her head firmly on her shoulders.
