So glad I haven't given up on the Youngjoo & Hyunwoo ship because this episode gave me soooo many feelings and I caught myself grinning like an idiot the whole time Youngjoo was tipsy-drunk and making Hyunwoo and everyone giggle because of her antics.

The preview for the next episode also seems to be riding on this wave, so I'm just hoping that the editors aren't out to break our hearts by giving us false hope...I would much prefer this season ending on a vastly different note from that of season 1 because then it would actually incentivize me to watch a third season. Although TBH, I'm just so in love with the cast this season that I don't know how they would be able to one-up them with a follow-up!

 

Am I the only one to think that watching Daeun and Jaeho is kind of uncomfortable? It seems like this couple is losing a lot of steam because while Jaeho is/was quite persistent and obvious, Daeun on the other hand seems to barely reciprocate and make an effort despite her sending him texts. The part where she had to sit next to him after he picked her mirror and the look on her face was kind of...unpleasant to watch and made me wince because it seemed like she had the thought "not again" running across her mind. Maybe I'm just looking way too deeply into this and projecting my slightly negative-feelings about this couple onto the screen? Seeing them doing cross-fit together (and failing miserably at it) was 1000% more natural than any of the other times we've seen them in recent episodes, so at least there was that.

 

I think the Daeun & Jaeho situation where at least one party is just settling for the other is why I've never been supportive of Youngjoo & Gyubin because I don't want that to see that happen. Also, as much as Gyubin is a sweet guy, I just don't find him very interesting because I'm all about Hyunwoo and Do Gyun lol. Even Jaeho is fun to watch, as cringey as his moments sometimes (okay, mostly) are.

 

 

Does anyone know how many episodes are left this season?

Some people are saying that this season is 16 episodes (I don't know where their source is) but 16 seems so long? Unless they plan to give the housemates more opportunities to go on dates with different people because that's the only way I can see it lasting that long...Even if there are only 12 episodes like the previous season, that means we're only at the halfway point and a lot can change! From the trailers, we see Hyunwoo also going on a date with Daeun at one point (see the 2:57 mark in the video below) so Hyunwoo & Daeun being a couple is still a possibility. It seems that Daeun is just laying low at this point but I think the editors are bringing her back into the fold of things since she and Jaeho haven't been shown much in the most recent episodes.

 

16 episodes include special ep maybe?

I think it's because he was trying so hard that it makes people want to root for him but...I'm not a fan of that kind of mentality when it comes to relationships. For sports and academics sure, but definitely not when it comes to the matters of the heart . YJ is clearly not that into him because she hasn't texted him after the courteous post-date text, so I find it a bit unfair for her that people think that Gyubin "deserves" her almost as if she was just an award for his hard-work (and pining)? It makes me a bit uncomfortable that the increase in Gyubin supporters just happened to coincide with episode 5's release, when a lot of people were so eager to jump on the HW hate bandwagon and it overall makes me feel bad for all parties involved. If YJ and GB do end up together, I hope it's not a matter of GB becoming YJ's rebound, but more so because she actually did find GB the most attractive.

 

This show is making me think more about missed connections and how timing + dedication is actually so important...I think that especially these days with dating apps becoming increasingly commonplace, people are less patient and think that if there are no sparks right off the bat, that means that things won't work out. But some bonds just need more time to develop and you'll have a long, steady burn compared to a burst of heightened emotions from the start that ends up blowing out quite easily. You probably know what I'm getting at and yes, I'm referring to the "what could have been" between YJ and DG because seriously, if not for HW's intervention, I would have loved to see how this pairing played out, especially after their interactions at the end of episode 5 and sprinkled throughout episode 6 .

For gyubin he seems nice n loyal in recent episode but i still cannot forget about his actions n attitude in ep 1 n half of ep 2 of my mind.(he comes of as alpha n not afraid to try new things) but suddenly after not getting text he changed his approach n becomes this loyal n sweet guy * not buying it.

 

Also felt sad 4 daeun because it felt like sly n control freak JH already push the idea to the guys that they're not supposed to date her.

was when she was being really shady about where she was going with HW. I get that crushes can make people irrational and immature but...come on, really? I've seen similar situations happen amongst friends, co-workers, and acquaintances and this kind of behavior just doesn't settle well with me.

 

I also don't get why Youngjoo was called Serin2?? Like where did that even come from?

 

That "shady thing" you mention is basically a brief 5 sec of her action. And plus it shows to me that she is genuine in what her feeling is.

 

And i agree wth u at why the heck is YJ-serin2 and why is HW-daddy, he's a shark.

they are in a reality show ,of course they will try to dont show their defects

so i think that they will reveil it on a indirect way in little things like this,there was no excuse for her to lying except being possessive and i personally dont find it attractive especially when its about someone you just meet

i think she is really imature and it surprises me that a man in his 30's find this attractive,i think its shows how the korean society its obsessed by youth and i dont find it health

i dont like hyun woo i think he likes to play with the girls by misleading them ,and i think hes there just for publicity ,i dont think his motivations are sincere

She's 4 me during 6 eps have been consistent with her course of action(jealous n a bit insecure) but she would fight 4 the one she like. She like the panels say is the kind of girl that HW not preferred before but after that date he find her engaging n kind, So he sent her text for few days(1st days HW text HJ he didn't receive YJ text either)

 

As for HW misleading girls i really didn't see as u do. He at the date with 3 girls basically just paid his attention to HJ(which made HJ n DE realized that he like YJ) n At date with HJ when he at the restaurant(he didn't answer her questions like what she would like to hear) these 2 points tell me that he's upfront with his actions. And no attention to "play" wth the girls heart.

I re-watched episode 4 and when Youngjoo was asking her what was going on, Hyunjoo continued descending the stairs so it's very likely Youngjoo found out through the others. It's not HJ I have a problem with, it's her course of action at that moment regardless of how brief it was. Much like in situations when a child asks their parents or a friend asks another friend to clarify a situation and the other party just gives a vague answer, it just leads to more confusion and the child or friend may even feel like they're purposely being kept in the dark even if that's not the other person's intention. Obviously this is something that bothers me a lot more than it does to you.

At 1st glanced it bothers me too but the circumstances of the situation make me change my mind. She's in rush because HW already go to the 2 floor without her n she felt guilty at event before. Just my thoughts.

lol after this ep today I don't think I'm even bothered by any girl going after Hyunwoo. It's clear that Hyunwoo-Youngjoo are not gonna work, third party involved or not.

It's just a misunderstanding for me, HW gives clues n it kinda vogue. So YJ thought the clues is pointed to HJ.

 

Its just weird editing in this eps, soo many ups n down. YJ HW just dominated the screentime.

all this while i was worried about YJ and GB getting hurt at the end of the show but i think HW is the one who is going to be hurt. he likes YJ a lot.

i think i fell in love with HW in this episode he was so nervous and vulnerable. lol he said my chest hurts i need to go the hospital

As a bad premonition, I truly do feel like HW would end up alone. Because in this eps we see a vulnerability of HW.

1.He's seen as a guy that are good to everyone in the house n not communicate well wth the girl he like.[a recipe 4 disaster]

2.He had shows clear sign to HJ that he like YJ more.[can HJ still ne interested].

3.He's expectation of finding marriage partner maybe a bit far fetched n burdensome for the girls.[DE n JM is more to promote their brand from my POV].

4.GB is ready to swoop YJ.

 

As for door scene until gyubin scene it seems that its been edited alot.

I'm glad the misunderstanding got resolved quick. Gyunbin-ahhhh I'm rooting for you to find a nice girl to settle down with after this show is over. He's the true Serin of this season.

 

Also Do Gyun looked like he wanted to throw hands and fight Hyunwoo after the salad incident 😂😂😂. His fist stayed clenched on the kitchen counter as he watched Hyunwoo leave the room lol. Do Gyun is good boyfriend material for real.

N still drink all the blueberry smoothie deliciously...😋

Gyubin.......ah. I really do feel for him, but he does come off as much younger, so it's kind of ...? He's five years older than me & somehow I've began to think he's younger from all the maknae talk.

Production team want to help GyuBin so much they gave him chance to go on extra date. The way he carry himself is just cute, his charisma at ep 1 n 2 just evaporate to cute character. Why gyubin choose to walk the same road as serin n Ji Hye

 

Jang Mi is so charming(female HW), i predict DG would fall head over heels 4 her after this.

LOL y'all are really setting yourselves up to be disappointed once again. In my experience human beings can be very fickle about matters of the heart and can flip on a dime based on a multitude of factors including their own emotional and psychological baggage, especially in this type of environment. But I appreciate your romantic optimism though. For the sake of everyone's sanity, I really hope it works out the way you want it to lol.

 

Anyway, since we're only at the halfway mark there's lots more to come so we'll see what happens. I'll be over here watching and being entertained. And since I'm a psychology major I'll also be taking notes lol.

Even on editing stand point there show be somekind of connection(date @ conv) shown before(if HW-DE) is the end game. If compared to last season HW-DE couple would be like, serin suddenly end up with jowon.

N if they are dating why in the world would HW treat his Girlfriend parent like that(ask them to come at moment he so busy n cannot treat them as they deserved). N all site in korean show that HS would only be 12 regular eps.(only dramafever show 16 eps) from my oppinion it would only be 12 eps+2 special.

Because garnet(reward) would be too large for the panel if they get it right at last ep. N the longer they drag this out the no of fixed couple would increase thus panel would have easy win at the end.

Gyubin is so cute. I feel for the guy. Him and Youngjoo get along so well but the other pairing just topples in terms of chemistry. I think he is the true 2nd Serin in this season. (and Jang Chun isn't a snake this time)

the nicknames were just based off the first ep and our first impressions

 

but the characters have changed a lot over the course of the season so they no longer apply

I also liked Dogyun x Jangmi date better, but Dogyun seems to be enjoying this date more than the previous one with Jangmi. Also agree on how the panel's favorable views toward both of them is really affecting the comments they gave lol.

 

It's just how I feel, but I think Hyunjoo isn't realy into Dogyun yet, because...

 

When they start talking "deep", Hyunjoo tend to be uncomfortable. During their meal at eel restaurant, Hyunjoo seems to change their topic when Dogyun wants to say something about their relationship. On their last course after that napkin talk, she even tried to end the date by asking Dogyun to go home and Dogyun said, "let's just stay here for a while". I might misunderstood things that happened there since my korean is limited, but I kinda get these vibe and the gist of the conversation.

 

Remember that preview ep 9: where HJ talk wth her friends, that preview maybe would be shown at the last ep(similar to last season) which means that her feeling to HW still there.

 

ONE fits perfectly with thus program despite people doubt at start of season.

 

 

Ep 10 Preview:

It bothers me that the hand grab HW N YJ happen in ep 10, because S1 viewers know that ep 10 is bait@feels good ep before production team start to speeds things up in ep 11 n 12. So trouble may still come 4 HyunYoung couple.
