vroom 3,221 Posted March 22, 2018 Share Posted March 22, 2018 oh my god it's like you made this thread just for me to rant what i've been holding in for a long time i can't say that i'm an avid ff reader, but i've read a number of them, and there definitely are ones that i like, but there had yet to be one which i completely fell in love with, that is until a few weeks ago when i stumbled on a gem that'll probably stay my favourite for a long time to come. and i don't throw that around easily; i never use such strong words to describe sth i like but this fic is just that good https://www.asianfanfics.com/story/view/1181740/charmed-mamamoo-wheein-solar-moonbyul-hwasa-wheebyul (or here if you don't have an account on asianfanfics https://archiveofourown.org/works/8260156/chapters/18925114 ) keep in mind that the grammar is not perfect bc the writer is not a native speaker, and normally that would throw me off a bit, but strangely enough it didn't bother me at all in this one. it's just incredibly well written and I love everything from the narration to the characters. the writing style is very expressive and humorous, character development is great and actually believable, and i don't know if i'm making sense but the author will slowly but surely make you like her characters a lot and make you root for them and won't make you question why you're even reading when the characters are so unlikeable. there's plenty of sexy times, it's got a gritty edge to it too, and there's some intellectual occupational input as well so it's not all plain no-brainer fluff. also, the setting was inspired by the aesthetics and styling in the mv for mamamoo's song new york, so even if not compulsory i recommend watching it at least once to get an even better idea on how to visualise the story (it certainly enhanced my reading experience bc i could imagine every line in my head as if they were scenes taken from a film - that's how real and masterful the narrative is) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
