Set at a small Chinese restaurant. Drama series follows Seo Poong's attempts at survival, food and love.
Chef Seo Poong was once a star chef and worked at the best Chinese restaurant. His popularity faded and he eventually wound up working at a small, failing Chinese restaurant. Meanwhile, Doo Chil-Seong is the owner of a building. He is an ex-gang member and he was in jail for 5 years.

A former loan shark gangster who seems intimidating but is overflowing with humanity. After serving his time in prison, he ends up running a Chinese restaurant.
A chaebol heiress who enjoys horseback riding and fencing. She undergoes a major shift in her mindset after tasting a bowl of Jajangmyun at a Chinese restaurant.
- Lee Jun-ho as Seo Poong
A tough spirit who starts from the very bottom of a hotel kitchen to becoming a star chef in just 7 years. However, he doesn't bend his philosophy in cooking which resulted to him being kicked out. He ends up being a the head chef of a neighborhood eatery named "Hungry Wok".
- Cha Joo-young
A plastic surgeon who has enjoyed success in her career thanks to the support of her father who runs a Chinese restaurant. She gets married to her first love, Seo Poong but the marriage is troubled by her unfilled social desires.

An ex-member of the gang lead by Doo Chil-sung, the only married young man among them. He is a warm-hearted person who wants to learn Chinese cooking skills as soon as possible in order not to worry his wife.

An ambitious president of a hotel.
