Most groups do this. Twice and BP did it. Momoland is doing it. RV most likely will do it. There usually ain't no new songs for their first Japanese release. They want to release their hits and strongest songs for their first album. After that, the original stuff will come in. Be patient Buddys. GF isn't being lazy. It's  marketing tacit.

I not sure you know this: All kpop artists who went Japan to debut always debut with their "Hit"/popular song before having their very own Japan song. I believe most kpop entertainment will not want to risk their money to debut with whole new Japanese song as there is no proof whether the song will be a success. Bear with it , I believe they will get a whole new Japanese song after their debut. P.S I assume your new song means a Japanese song totally create for the girls unless I misunderstand your "new song". Also, I think you are very new to kpop. Maybe you enter as a kpop fan during 3rd Generation of Kpop. To say either GF or SouMu is lazy, this statement is quite offensive if you don't even know how kpop artists debut in Japan work or how entertainment business work. Giving my point of view: If i'm the CEO/Planning team of a kpop group, to choose the groups' korean song or   a whole new song for Japanese debut I definitely choose Korean song since fans from around the world has already know the songs and are the one who attract them to stan the group. Korean songs definitely a better move and best is song that is popular internationally. If I choose a very own Japanese song, I  think is a risky move. If the song is not fit to the taste of the Japanese then I will make a lost. So I rather choose a song that has been hit internationally and debut with it.

Yes even 2nd generation kpop artist also debut their Korean songs first. Thanks for mentioning GF isn't lazy. I not sure but I think the user mean SouMu since GF cannot decide their own song yet

That is normal though. It is not lazy but that is how most KPOP groups did there. They surely have the original songs already but it is too risky to go debut with those.

 

No JP single (no surprise in that) but ofc Fingertip isn't included :/

whatever I'm too excited for all the other title tracks to have a jp ver

Let's hope Fingertip and Summer Rain to be released in the next album.

GG, tvxq, exo and others had original songs in their debut album so yes I expected a new b side, and I've been a kpop fan for years so you can gtfo with that ~you must be new~ bs. And ofc I mean the company, I would never blame the girls for something they have no control over

I expected the single to be the japanese version of one of their korean songs but I was hoping for one new b side which is not that uncommon. TBH I think most debuts in japan come out as lazy so at this point I have low stands
