It all started with this great article about Love Scenario

As you can see, there's a comparison between iKON's stage for LS with IKEA furniture (a detail I should mention here is that antis have been calling iKON as ikea since forever as a way to drag them...idk how comparing them with the biggest and most successful store chain in its domain is a drag but antis aren't known to be smart people anyway).

 

Some iKONICs mentioned IKEAUK on twitter and they saw it and replied with a thoughtful message and a little praise for iKON

 

 

Of course, that got everyone excited and some went to the next level and actually DMed them. This is what happened next:

 

 

So now we have IKEA from South Korea knowing about it aaaand hopefully they actually do something about it too. Let's just hope YG doesn't shot down another opportunity for iKON if it indeed comes.

i'm admirative of ikonics... yall are doing your best

if ikon really get an endorsement deal because of their fans, i swear that you will win the title of best fandom in the kpop world... that's a whole new level of promoting... it might be even more iconic (without bad pun) that when ujungs literally made believe to the world that meiqi and xuanyi where lesbian billionaires who killed their husbands to be together.

We kinda have an example of this already. During iKON's predebut survival show, Yunhyeong showed he loved Nivea lipbalm. He carried it everywhere with him and even got Hanbin to buy him a whole box of them as a Christmas gift

Now, I'm not very sure how exactly it happened but unless Nivea stayed watching Mix&Match episodes and unreleased videos, I think they found out from how much the fans spazzed about it on the internet and how they kept saying they're now buying Nivea lipbalms because of Yunhyeong. 6 months after iKON debuted we get the news that Nivea got him as their official spokesperson and exclusive model. They said they worked hard for months to get him. He got several CFs with them for lipbalm and other products.

After that, Nivea became sponsor for the whole group, being with them for years now, even during last year when they were called flops and showing them and ikonics so much love. 

 

 

 

These deals born from natural moments are the best ones imo.
