Really really dumb. It will just backfire because even moderate japanese (not just rightwing) don't want to be told by Koreans how to run their country.
Japan doesn't have a long history of protest like South Korea. I know there was some leftist protests in the 60's or 70's at Universities in Japan but the japanese public generally respects authority (for better or worse). S.Koreans are more rebellious (for better or worse). I don't think they're going to have one million people marching in Tokyo. Also the situation with Park Geun Hye was different because there was a long contentious history between the left and right in S.Korea, like how former President Noh Moo Hyun was driven to suicide by a investigation lead by the conservatives. I don't think the candlelight protests were nearly as purehearted as everyone thinks it was.
There's a lot I don't like about Abe but he's trying to make Japan more militarized which many people think is a bad thing but if Japan doesn't start becoming stronger there's going to be nobody in Asia willing to counter-balance a militarizing China. America is going to stay in Asia forever, if that happens then some country needs to stand up to China.
