Whenever you get a case of "but namjoon" -itus to deflect from your faves' problematic actions, just remember that Namjoon is the only idol that I can recall, that has truly learned from his mistakes and have since never repeated them again.  Click on the VERY INFORMATIVE THREAD about why kpop fans should keep Namjoon's name out of their mouth every time their faves fuck up. Educate your favs like mine has been and maybe the world would be a better place for kpop stans.

This has been an announcement to stop "but namjoon" in this economy~

Thank you OP.

I am SO glad I made that Thread when I did, because every single time an Idol gets into a controversy related to racially sensitive topics, certain stans will always bring up the 'bUT nAmJ00n' card, as if Namjoon is a scapegoat for your idols actions.

In the beginnings of his career he was heavily inspired by Hip-Hop and G-funk Music, but he was uneducated and ignorant and has made mistakes, he sang the N word when he covered a Shinhwa song, his appearance, style of dressing and certain things he said such as 'West Side till we die' were also ignorant and plain wrong.

As a result he received genuine backlash for his actions, such as death threats, concert and fansigns were cancelled. Namjoon could have brushed it all off and ignore it all but he didn't, he chose to change his mindset and accept criticism, he chose to learn. He appeared on American Hustle life with Rappers such as Warren G, witnessed and learned from their humble beginnings and struggle and educated himself on the beginnings and foundations of HipHop Music, realised it was not his place to say or act the way he did in the past and has apologised continuously - not with some PR based apology but through his words, actions, and behaviour.

I'm so proud to Stan someone with such beauty and understanding, I urge all the people using him as a scapegoat to read the thread, and better yet, watch some of his vlives, you will be so impressed by his beautiful heart, mind and urge to continuously grow.

They take him like a punching bag to  move away from the main topic and shift the blame on him rather than calling out the mistakes of their faves. You can't excuse your faves by simply bringing the history of others

This is not defending. It's falling in the trap. He is someone who can be considered a good example as far as leaning from controversies are concerned. He made mistakes, reflected, changed his mindset, learnt from his mistake, apologized, and never repeated them again.

What about them ?  some of their faves?

They try to shade armys but armys were among te first ones that criticized RM so nice try

So we now have a meme and a thread to reply with every time a Kpoppie tries to deflect from their faves' actions, nice. And already the typical users here are deflecting from the main problem by throwing our fandom under the bus. I wouldn't expect any better from them.

If our faves fucked up, we'd be the first ones to call them out either by:

a) Panicking and debating with each other on social media with one side of the fandom wanting to educate the BTS member(s) first and the other side preferring to either spam BTS' replies with demands for an apology or shade their own faves on their own fan accounts.

b) Sending an email to BigHit

c) Contacting BTS' US PR team directly about it to send the message to BigHit and BTS themselves

If an ARMY fucks up, he/she will have the rest of the ARMY fandom calling them out either by:

a) Telling them to apologize

b) Ganging up on them to tell them they were wrong (I don't like this method but it's hard to control stan Twitter ARMYs when they're huge and tend to not hold back from shading and don't mind blowing things up on socmed)

So what deflection are we talking about, Kpoppies, other the the ones you guys love doing every time your faves do something offensive?
