Kpop reaction YouTube channels are getting copyright strikes from CJ E&M ; In danger of being deleted

Basically any video associated with cj e&m (MVs, m countdown) that has been in a reaction video has been getting taken down and given a copyright strike

CJ is real dumb. These reaction videos are helping spread kpop out to the world, which of course the korean government wants since they even have offices set up to try and make kpop more worldwide. But discouraging youtubers from making kpop reaction videos is getting rid of one of the elements that make it so well known in this day and age.

Most cases are in fact a copyright violation. You have to add legimate criticism or other content for it to be fair use and we all know some hack screaming 'SLAY' like a banshee over a mv while it's playing doesn't qualify as fair use.

Many KPOP reactors upload their reaction videos with no editing at all. If they from now on shorten the reactions by cutting out parts, change the audio pitch or no sound at all, they can bypass the copyright.

I don't feel like quoting but to those of you who won't miss the channels please understand we don't give a fuck. You don't like the channels then fine but don't be a miserable person by celebrating the ends of these channels or anything negative that's happening to them.

I know it's easy to say "reaction videos suck" (which I mostly agree) but they really were good promotion for groups and their songs but I guess the monetization part would piss me off if I were a business man.

Yes some youtube reactors are corny but there are actually a lot out there who are extremely genuine with their reactions, there also different types of reactions that aren't your typical one such as reactions to the music composition and all of that so it's sad they are being taken down. Not sure why they only started now but it's unfair to give strike all at once for videos made ages ago

These discussions have been happening for years now and creators that made the original videos say that isn't even the case at all.

 

People subscribe to the personality, most aren't really looking the videos the person is reacting to afterwards.

There's actually some skilled producers and people who are skilled in music who take their time to react/analyse music that people request and don't actually get anything in return

So this isn't fair for some of them

I'm not talking about the ones who don't care about the artist and only do it for views of course
