Logan - aka Wolverine nominated for best adapted screenplay tonight

I have been following the X-men franchise for awhile but Logan elevated what Comic-book should look like and how far this genre has come after nearly 2 decades of Superhero genre taking over box-office worldwide.

 

After 9 Movies with the X-men series and Wolverine I believe Logan changed everything not only for X-men but the entire superhero genre. It brought so much life to it where previously it lacked the emotional depth. Even tho I don't think it's going to win but the nomination itself is big and deserves more in my opinion. 

 

Logan is probably the best movie I have seen for the last decades. 

 

The movie is set in a post-apocalyptic world 2029 where Wolverine has aged and lost much of his healing powers and taking care of Charles Xavier and his Daughter Laura. All the X-men has basically died at this stage where Wolverine and Professor X are the last remaining X-men.

Wow! but I wished they adapted more material. Isn't the X-mens got killed by professor X when he lost control of his power (because of old age factor)?

They didn't show it maybe they are saving that part for the final movie to pass the Torch to X-23 for the coming decades. But yes Professor X accidently killed the X-men in what they mentioned as the westchester incident during a seizure.
