Interesting. Why?

I don't have a preference. Though it would be amusing to make Arata do it. xD

I see Taichi's main goal in Chihayafuru as winning against Arata in a fair way. Nishida couldn't do so and gave up on playing competitive Karuta. I feel like Taichi's winning against Arata will also somewhat signify Nishida did it(he didn't do it but his teammate/friend did it).

I can't imagine Arata willing to be Taichi's card boy.

I see. Makes sense.
I'm just not feeling generous towards Arata after that 'playing without glasses' comment. :ninja:

The more I think the more I feel that Arata is a 'boss' type of character for Taichi to defeat.

Arata = Winner of High School Individual Tournament

Shinobu = Queen, Suo = Meijin

Chihaya = Winner of 2 Karuta Tournaments

Taichi = Nothing(he won Class B tournament but winning in Class A is way harder).

I have been thinking that it might be

Arata = Level 1

Suo = Level 2

Chihaya = Final Boss

Taichi lost to Chihaya at the end of Chapter 1! He thought final boss is Arata but he ended up losing to Chihaya in Chapter 1!

I also feel like his skills is to be effective against Chihaya?

Offensive vs Defensive

Good hearing vs Brains

Chihaya commits a lot of faults & Taichi is even better than Suo at feints.

If Chihaya vs Taichi as the final showdown, who do you think will win?

Taichi defeated Chihaya in middle sch arc tournaments multiple times(for him to promote to Class C & Class B). But all these are only in the middle school manga so far.

Edited by feel it yum

I think beating Chihaya technically is easier than beating Suo. He played her with a very small difference on his birthday tournament. And with his newfound skills as well as with his confession done I'd say it's very doable.

What do you mean by 'with his confession done'?

He is still desperate to get the 'Chi-ha' card that symbolise her.
