is that vietsub for Ep.5? wow so fast, plus its not even my language tho imstupid.png

Yep ^^ This episode is good but I don't know how long they can stretch the "secret love affair" and the loser ex-boyfriend storyline any further. Especially the ex-bf is kinda far-fetched at this point already.

Edit: looks like people're slowly finding out tho lol

In the last episode they did drop some hints that her mother won’t be the most supportive as she dissed on Joon hee for “only†studying art and working as video game designer - which makes little sense but eh.. I dont know, I like this drama a lot but some of the narratives and storylines they try to push to create dramas feel kinda forced to me.

Team Dramabeans: What we’re watching???

waikiki-what-were-watching.jpg

So, what are we all watching this week?

What kept you reaching for more (or agonizing when there was no more), and what made you want to throw your remote through the screen? Time to weigh in…

  • Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food: I’m loving this show right now. It’s a simple concept, but done elegantly in a way I can really connect to. I find it the most accessible of PD Ahn Pan-seok’s shows to date, which for me is a very welcome thing; his shows, while deserving of their critical acclaim, always feel a bit too aggressively highbrow in a way I don’t relate to. But this drama is for me the best of both worlds — taking a familiar concept (it’s basically a next-generation What’s Up Fox) and elevating it with its classy execution. Plus this couple has natural chemistry out the wazoo.

  • Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food: Zzzz…couldn’t get through even half of the first episode so I’ll just stick to the snippets of cute on YouTube. I see the Pretty, but where’s the Food? And the plot?

you guys, I. AM. SOLD. this is the first drama in a while that I really connected to from episode 1 (just like My Love from the Stars, Healer). probably because of its natural feel and the way it shows romance in an everyday kind of manner not in fireworks and high drama and grand vacations kind of way.

I loved how in the first ep we see Joon Hee bring her home maybe 3x? to me it was more romantic than skinship, seeing him smile while seeing her off. aww. and just honestly them eating and talking and laughing. it brings so much joy to my heart.  laugh.png

I hope this show ends well (and gets subbed faster hehe)
