FAN WHO CAME TO AN IDOL'S FANSIGN EVENT TO QUIT THE FANDOM

67f9bba6add224422bdee8f4039cf1bb8c0f7484
Fan: Oppa, it's been 100 days since "One Piece" has opened, I came here to see oppa
Ukwon: 'kay (t/n: ㅇㅋ is a slang way to say "okay")

"Kwon-ah, we started as "One Piece" to take pictures of you 7 months ago, we opened our fansite and it's been already 100 days, but I've actually been a fan of you for may years already.
I am closing One Piece with the good memories that were made throughout these years. Thank you for the good memories. Goodbye.
-One Piece"

The fan was disappointed because she went to see Ukwon and wrote him a post-it to which he replied "'kay" with it and she quit the fandom

original post :here

1. The fan must've spent a few 10,000 wons to be able to attend, he's too much

2. Seriously no manners

3. Does he not even know how to write in a capitalist way?

4. He's making his manners show in a public event like this...

5. ã…‹ã…‹ .. Seeing how all the time and money I've invested go in fumes like that would slap the reality right in my face

6. He doesn't even have the littlest manners in him

7. Must he use this tone when he writes, just looking at this makes me realize how weird his personalities are

8. You can't become an idol if you don't even know how to appreciate the love your fans give you. He doesn't even know how to write a simple "thank you"ã…—ã…—ã…—

9. Then why are you an idol??

10. Why would you be his fan in the first place? There are lots of idols who treat their fans better out there...

nvm misread it unsure.png

but that's what happens when you put too much imagination in your image of oppa

edit: yall bishes negging me, i meant the fan was delusional to believe being entitled to anything from him

hes been like this for years. Even treating an international fan with coldness on one occasion.

i can understand wanting to keep a certain distance from fans, but that doesn't mean you can't show some appreciation towards them for supporting you. Its very ungrateful imo.

My favorite singer Madonna doesn't act overly sentimental with fans either. For instance she'll deny hugs with fans (and thats understandable) but instead of outright giving an attitude over it, she'll be like "how about a handshake instead?". That to me seems the right way to approach things.

It's an eternal cycle when it comes to this kind of thing. They will either ridicule the kfans them for spending 100000 â‚© on their faves if the idol has a good image or they will ridicule the idol for taking that 100000 â‚© if the idol doesn't have a good image.

I personally would stop being his fan, if i were one, with this lol (Unless that fansite had bad records). Why should I stan stupid person? I wouldn't know if my faves are truly grateful since there's no way to know their hearts, so they should at least be clever and smart and know what they're doing publicly.

He could've just said, "Thank you for coming to see us" as well. Like that is detached enough if he wants space. There's probably context to this but, saying a little more wouldn't have hurt.

If its really how the post says it is, then... there's a difference between not fostering a weird fan-singer relationship and just blatantly not caring about being polite/courteous to your fans and this particular instance seems like the latter.  Idols/singers shouldn't have to cater to the sensibilities of fans but "hello, how are you, that's nice, thanks for coming" etc are just polite niceties.
