Kevin Federline wants more child support money from Britney Spears

Britney Spear’s ex Kevin Federline is asking the singer for an increase in child support after her lucrative Las Vegas residency. The 39-year-old currently receives $20,000 (£14,300) a month from the singer, but his attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan has recently sent a letter to Britney’s team, outlining the reasons why Federline should get more. The pair were happily married between 2004 and 2007 and share sons Preston, 12, and Jayden, 11. Spear’s lost sole physical and legal custody of the kids in 2008 when she had a much publicised breakdown, which lead her to be placed under the care of her father Jamie.

 

 

A source spoke to Us Magazine, and said: ‘Kevin has always been supportive of Britney’s recovery and has always recognized what a great mother she has been.’ The insider continued to say that Federline believes that a large part of Spear’s Vegas residency success is because her boys have been in her life. They said: ‘Britney’s entire world are the boys, period. She just lights up when she is with them.’

 

However, the rapper still wants a rise in child support to ‘recognise the sacrifices he has made because he has gone above and beyond what most people would do in this situation’. According to the publication, both parties are hoping to come to an agreement they are both happy with without having to go to court. The source revealed: ‘She will let her dad, Jamie, and the lawyers hash it out. However, Jamie isn’t just going to fork over what he would consider an outrageous demand.’

How does one receive child support for children they don't even see? She might not have legal custody but they are with her.

As far as I know she has 50-50 custody and she regained primary custody for her kids in 2015.So she should decrease child support if anything.This bum bitch has 4 other children that he feeds using Britney's money.

I'd imagine that during Britney's breakdown, he stepped up and had a bigger role in looking after his sons. I'd also imagine that during that time, he was compensated, seemingly an agreeable amount because he wasn't petitioning for more money then.

Now, for at least the last handful of years, it is clear that Britney is the primary parent. Those boys are always with her.. so again, I don't get why now, in his diminished parenting role, he needs more money than he was getting when he was probably doing more of the parenting.

 

Perhaps Kevin should quit "rapping" (who knew) and get a real job to support his multiple children with.

That said, he doesn't seem malicious in his request....in the sense that you can tell he admires Britney as a mother.

Not if you wanted to be famous but ended up irrelevant and people only know you from articles like this, plus paparazzi follow people like him too and when there's something posted, bad comments>good comments whereas "famous people" have fans to defend them

 

But for most "normal" people I do agree being irrelevant is way better, I'd break under the pressure of articles, mean sns comments and cameras

You can love your parents but you don't have to like the kind of person they are. He's just being greedy. He did his part back in the day, but Britney is doing more than enough without him now. Britney's new man makes a better father figure anyhow.
