Do you usually get into the anime by reading the manga first or watching the show?

Manga first - if its has an anime , I'll check it out. Most time I have started reading the manga well before the anime come out - because I just love reading.

Anime to manga and not the other way since I already know the story--wasting about 20 minutes to watch an anime I which I already know the story is a no for me, except if they can deliver it better than the manga and it's rare.

I like reading the manga first bc anime tends to cut things out and having to read from the beginning to get the full story when I already know some of the plot is just annoying. Plus, I get to look forward to seeing my favorite scenes animated.

I started out anime first, but now I don't watch any anime that has a manga. If It has a manga I'd rather just read it. If it's anime only then I'll watch it. It's less about filler and more about the rhythm of the work. I love the One Piece and Hikaru no Go mangas for instance, but I kind of hate the anime for both because the rhythm of the interactions is all off. They have these weird pauses in action and speech and it doesn't flow as well as when I read it.

 

The one exception to this is any music related story. Then I'll read the manga and watch the anime since they often do original music for the show and that can be cool.

I read the manga once i finish the anime if i read the manga first i would never watch the anime
