Hanteo Chart is officially taking action in response to the ongoing sajaegi accusations on Momoland.

Earlier this month, Momoland was accused of sajaegi as the sales of the album 'Great!' tremendously soared up in a short amount of time. Duble Kick Entertainment strongly denied the accusations, however, rumors continued to spread.

To settle the issue, Hanteo Chart decided to officially submit a request for an investigation to the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.

A rep of Hanteo Chart told CBS No Cut News, "We have decided to take such action because we were unable to find a clear explanation of the sales controversy and believed this can cause harm to the reliability of Hanteo Charts."

Hanteo Chart is scheduled to submit the request on February 26. Stay tuned for updates.

How much did it sell?

8,261 in one day, which made them no.1 with 9,212 for Weekly

Which is interesting because they sold 894 the day after they sold 8k, so that means for the other 5 days of the week they sold a total of 57 albums.

If they did do sajaegi their company is dumb, the song is doing great digitally and they didn't need to do this.

I think the problem lies where they said the sale was from 1(one) offline store which is very odd since no offline store stock this much. Also, why nobody came forward on that buy bulk order till now???? Buy bulk is done by fans, shouldn't they save Momoland from this mess by showing the receipt?

This is mess

i don't think so. i'm pretty sure supposedly one store brought all 8000 copies

is Hanteo, not Gaon, so I think 8000 represents the copies sold to customers by a store.

A store reported to Hanteo that number. Maybe it was a mistake, they added a zero.

Wasn't it one franchise (meaning multiple stores owned by the same company)?

i'm not 100% sure, all i know is that everybody got suspicious because they were selling less than 100 copies a day and then a month after release a store (franchise?? idk) brought 8000 copies in one day according to hanteo

But didn't someone from Hanteo already said that thye checked and there was no sajaegi? Did they lie?

Yeah this is what I thought too...I guess they've decided to backpedal because the controversy has really blown out of proportion and they don't want their reputation to be tarnished.
