Do you consider 2014 and 2018 debuted groups the same generation?

Yes because generations don't change every 4 years. The 1st and 2nd generation lasted more than 5 years so it makes no sense for the 3rd generation to last only 4 or less years. I mean TVXQ debuted in 2005 and SHINee debuted in 2008 and both groups are considered as 2nd gen.

Yes I consider them the same. And also I think it's fair to say that a generation is nearing its end when most artists from that gen have disbanded, become inactive or are not as successful commercial

2011- 2016 = 3rd gen

2017 onwards = 4th gen

3rd gen and 4th gen = New Generation.

_______

Past generation = 2005 - 2010 = 2nd gen
