By the time I was able to check OH yesterday, it was down, so I didn't know they fixed the issues. Or at least fixed them for the time being 0u0plz.png

 

So many great pics came out of the concert! I think the members might have had more fun than at last year's. They seemed in much better spirits and were bursting with energy. Not that they didn't put on a good show last year, but with Momoka's graduation still fresh in their minds, maybe they couldn't completely let go and enjoy the event.

 

 

I always forget about the photo bans. I guess they don't mind during the pre-show since that one fan was able to stream RAJ and Amefurasshi's live perfs.

 

These Spring concerts have become such unique events. It's something that everyone looks forward to each year. I've said this before, but they remind me of mini Woodstocks where a huge mass of people descends upon an almost unsuspecting town. Thankfully, Mononofu don't leave much of a mess behind, lol.

 

I wonder if the photographer was the same one who shot last year's concert? The pics have a similar look and feel to them. They really capture the essence of Momoclo rlytearpls.png

 

The two colors for Batten Showjo Tai's costumes could be significant or simply an aesthetic choice. You can never tell with Idols. Hello Project has always been big about splitting two colors between the members just to create a visual contrast.

 

 

Ami's probably my favorite member warstarplz.png For her and Ruka to both be graduating around the same time, RAJ's contracts must have been up for renewal. I don't know how the group is going to continue with only 3 members. They'll be the smallest Stardust group. Maybe some new members will be added.

Anyway it looks like they're preparing to add new members with their Kenkyuusei announcement

 

^It's been a while since I watched the We Are Born MV. I thought they already released the full version. It's underrated. I feel like it should be among their signature songs.

 

I'm looking forward to the new songs! I can't tell if the music in the second teaser is a hint for the title track. If so, it's not what I was expecting. I'm curious how the final song will sound.

Parts of it has a similar vibe to the music in the trailer, so I wouldn't be surprised if we get some 20's swing inspired songs on the album.

 

 

I believe they actually uploaded all music videos again, but only a couple are available outside Japan. I guess it's a promotion leading up to the release of the MV of The Diamond Four.

 

EDIT: And the moment I make this post, the MV is uploaded!

 

It's supposedly the start of video streaming delivery (at Youtube and other services), so I guess they need all videos to be available without promotions and stuff. 

 

TDF reminds me a bit of Mahorovacation (also by invisible manners) but with more rap/slightly lower tempo. It's very groovy.

Based on the sample, I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the Diamond Four. After hearing the full version, I love it! Last year, I said I wanted more rapping Momoclo. Between Sweet Wanderer and this, my wish came true smile.png It has such a fun vibe. It's a complicated song, but all the parts come together nicely. I thought they might go with some kind of spy theme for the MV because of the suits/tuxedos, which meant the song would be more energetic. I'd still like to see something like that, but I was completely satisfied with what we got. Looking forward to some live performances!

 

One thing about the MV. It must have had a very short turn around since Shiori only just cut her hair a couple weeks ago. I'm surprised it wasn't shot earlier.

Since 3B Junior was dissolved last year, I was curious what they were going to do with their Trainee program. Stardust has always taken a different approach when it comes to training Idols. Unlike other companies, they create full groups from their trainees instead of adding them to existing ones. This will be new territory for them. I'm really curious which groups will get new members. RAJ is a definite candidate. I could also see Amefurasshi since they're so new. It could take up to a year before we see any new additions, but I'm looking forward to further announcements.

 

Iginari are releasing their 7th single, iirc. I wish there was an easy way to listen to their songs, but they're always restricted to the local area.

 

It's possible those pics were edited professionally for some reason. Maybe they were still debating what the final version should look like.

 

I'm not sure what the name of the Joypolis character is, but she reminds me of Ulala from the Space Channel 5 games. I didn't notice at first, but Momoclo are wearing the same dress that she is. It makes sense if she's the mascot.

One more thing about We Are Born. I remember watching the MV for the first time during an episode of J-Melo on NHK World back when it was released in 2016. It was a rare treat to see it on TV like that. Momoclo even introduced it. The girls had done weird concepts in the past, but this was almost too weird. I think it was the baby costumes that put it over the top, lol. That's the only time I'd seen the full version of the MV until now, so it's nice to see the whole thing once again smile.png

Unlike some other sites, you only need to deal with one pop up after pressing play, but if you pause it, you'll get another one when you re-start the ep. This episode focuses on Reni's solo concert "Marugoto Reni-chan 2019". There's some behind the scenes, full songs, and edited version of others. I think my favorite part might be the duet Reni does with special guest Nagano. She worked with him on that comedy duo special.

Idk about Japanese youtube but on international videos there can be bad/weird comments on almost all types of videos. There is also a trend of creepy videos aimed at kids, so parents are concerned. Since kids are particularly vulnerable it makes sense to disable comments to be on the safe side.

Team Shachi released a weird Trailer for their upcoming Feature Film. At first, I thought it was a documentary, but after watching the whole thing, it's definitely a Drama. I think they're going for an Indie vibe with the way it was shot. The title is "Burning! Failure Girls".

 

 

The story revolves around the 4 members traveling to Tokyo to pursue their dreams, only to fail over and over. It seems like a rather depressing movie, but maybe there's a happy ending. Honoka is trying to be an actress, Nao is obviously a musician, and I think Yuzuki is practicing Kendo. I'm not sure what Haruna is doing.

 

Team Shachi's first tour under their new name. They're focusing on the Tokyo area. The pics are from the show at Katsushika Symphony Hills.

Hachimitsu Rocket's Kanon is graduating on the 8th of June

 

They just had their major debut a year ago warstarplz.png I guess that's to be expected when a company has so many groups. The frequency of graduations will naturally go up. Might be a good idea not to keep groups in the Indies for 4-5 yrs. in future 0u0plz.png

It seems to be a late decision so I expect that they'll mostly/exclusively be visual pieces. Although one of them will be a full MV so that one might feature the members.

Looks like we have our answer, lol. I was thinking they could use some behind the scenes shots or random b-roll footage and have fun with it. Even just shoot them in front of a green screen and incorporate that somehow. Anyway, this song is quickly becoming one of my favorites. It's going to be amazing when they perform it live. At first I had no idea what the weirdly-shaped thing Arin was holding, and about to eat was 0u0plz.png

I seem to recall Aiai did something like this before. I think you said it's an ongoing project of hers.

 

 

Looks like we have our answer, lol. I was thinking they could use some behind the scenes shots or random b-roll footage and have fun with it. Even just shoot them in front of a green screen and incorporate that somehow. Anyway, this song is quickly becoming one of my favorites. It's going to be amazing when they perform it live. I'm picturing them wearing ball gowns or maybe something really abstract.

Yeah she's done a lot of modelling.
